names...

Ugh! We can NOT pick a name for this boy!!! It's driving me nuts. I think we had Meg named before month 3, and we had Marcus picked out almost the same time. Now, this boy. Between month 6 and 7 and we can't agree. Nothing we find is anything to be in love with, and we don't like what each other wants.
I want to have a name for him!

How is everyone else doing for names?

Are ya'll going to pick another M name? Boys were impossible for us!

Baby girl is gonna be Sylvia Athaleen. I have 2 middle names and so does Stetson so we are considering adding a second middle name and it would either be Sylvia Athaleen Janet (His mom is Janet) or Sylvia Athaleen Ann (I am the 4th generation on my dads side with the middle name Ann. But no idea on that just yet. The first 2 names are after my grandmother and great grandmother and are set in stone.

You plug in names you like and it suggests others...

We struggled with ds1 (I used to work with. Kids so I had a few names I refused to use)... Ds2 and 3 (not twins) were named at the same time... A you get your favorites this time if I get mine next time...

We have:

Tyler Rhys (welsh spelling)
Jason Daniel (family initials)
Arthur Joseph (my grandfathers)

And if we had a girl...
Evelyn Dawn (Dawn for my "grandmother" but we never got a girl)

Do you like names with one syllable best? Any first letters you want to avoid?

You ladies are so sweet Smile

So far we like Owen, Henry and Timothy, kind of. I really like Lee and Douglas, and Kenneth. Tom doesn't. I like shorter classic names. There is no rhyme or reason for what kinds of things tom likes lol

We have the same problem. Except you are closer than we are. We have ZERO names. Whenever we try to talk about it and come up with a list, nothing sounds right to even add to a possibility list :/ I figure we have 14 weeks, right? Wink

We dont have a name either. Well, i have names, but DH doesn't click with them particularly but he doesn't bring any suggestions either. It's irritating. Owen was our boy name, left over from DD.
I like :

Emaline Avery, Emaline is a great grandmother, Avery is my dad
Abigail maybe Avery for middle too

Just based on what you like, a few that probably aren't so common in the US but are in use over here:

Eoin (Scottish version of Owen, pronounced EE-AN)
Kerr (another one fairly popular here in Scotland, similar to Kenneth but short!)
Graeme / Graham
Grant
