Default Nuchal scan at 2! - UPDATED

Back from RI again last night. Good to be home. Sorry I haven't been around much since early last week, we were handling all kinds of family stuff after Tom's mom's passing.

We have our nuchal scan today at 2! Nervous and excited all at once

    UPDATE:

Well, we didn't get any results of anything. She said that they really like to have the blood tests together with the measurements to give a full picture, so we'll have to wait 7-10 business days (boo).

But we got great pictures and got to see our little guy. He was kicking and moving, but very cooperative with measurements. We have a great ultrasound tech who is more than willing to gender guess, but from one angle she was thinking girl, but another angle thinking boy and so she said she really just wasn't sure. It was nice of her to try so hard, and I'm hoping in two weeks we'll see for sure
So it wasn't that long, and no results or gender, but it was nice to see the baby.

Great pics.!!! Are you thinking it's a boy? I just noticed you referred to your LO as "guy" and "him" so maybe subconsciously you're feeling boy??? I'm so excited for everyone to start finding out the gender! I'm still unsure if we will find out...it's making me crazy not knowing, but a surprise would be nice.
Hope your results come back with great news!

Whoo hooo! Awesome pictures. So lucky that your tech was willing to guess mine told me it looked like a boy or girl, so is super fun so please try to imagine this with a goofy clown face and huge purple glasses. I am curious too, if you are thinking boy. I always use her and she when referring to baby. Did the same with my DS but used He and him. Glad baby was having a dance party in there!

I am really thinking this is a boy. If it's a girl, I'll be shocked.

Of course, with my 13 year old daughter at home, growling while attached to her ipod, it might just be wishful thinking about not having to see another girl through to teenagerhood.... lol

My u/s tech said we would have to wait for blood results too, but then my OB said my u/s looked good afterwards so that made feel good. Glad baby was putting on a show for you

Congratulations Susan! Good to hear your news and see the lovely pictures. Sorry I've been really busy and not posting much. Are you having a gender scan in 2 weeks? I think I will probably cave in and order one. They refuse to give any opinion at the NT scan here and I can't stand not knowing much longer lol!

Just got my test results! Very normal! Low risk for downs, trisomy 18, or neural tube defects! Phew!!

Thanks again for the sweet things you said!
