Waiting to Ovulate

No 2013 baby for me! But, a 2014 baby sounds really nice, and statistically possible. lol.

Anyone doing anything different this month? I don't think we'll change anything up. Just the usual.

So, I'm not temping this cycle. I will do opk's but that's it. So, no chart.

Just more DTD lol!

I don't temp or anything so I have no clue when I am ovulating - my period is around the first week of the month so I am guessing around the 20th is my time, who knows!

How long did you ttc your DD, Kristi?

Hi ladies! Good to see you. I'm pretty much here. AF will start today or tomorrow. I'm going to temp this month and use OPKs. I am going to go supplement free and see what happens. I tried Vitex last cycle and I'm sure it delayed O. I am just going to use prenatals and give my body a break. This will be cycle 14 actively trying....

Sarah, refresh my memory...have you seen a doc yet about why it's taking so long?

No, I have not.... I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 18, though I do ovulate approx. 90% of cycles.... I am very food sensitive and have only ever conceived when eating low carb. I truly believe I need to eat healthier and it will happen. I am really going to buckle down! I have also cut out alcohol now....and cutting out stress! lol

It didn't! We were very lucky to conceive DD very quickly, which is why I get scared that we won't be so lucky 2nd time around.

I'm a lot unhealthier than 5 years ago lol.

Hi Kat!!

Nope, CD13 for me, hoping to get that POS opk soon. I'm in my fertile phase though, judging by CM.

So, I normally O around like CD20-24, but this month I decided to take nothing but prenatals, baby aspirin and extra folic acid and give my body a break and today I got a positive OPK. I am quite surprised! I'm only CD10! Last month I had a "psych out" early OPK and didn't O until the 2nd positive OPK. I would be shocked if I O'd this early!!

Hello February, it sucks to be here.

So anyway, if this time works (haha I am actually starting to lose hope) I will have a Valentines EDD

I've given up thinking any month will be it for me.

I did a 4.5 km walk today and decided I should pull my finger out and train to run it next year. I did it with no training in about an hour walking, and came in 3rd/4th (two of us finished at once) so pretty pleased with that

That's awesome! I am a runner but won't lie; I let TTC get in the way of losing weight/exercise. I can't help but think overdoing it will cause a problem or contribute to a problem.... need to let that go and focus on getting healthy!

Fx my temps go up tomorrow. CM seemed creamy tonight but I'm debating if it's creamy or sticky. I will just be tickled and shocked if I O'd this early Smile

As a "science experiment" I actually am temping both orally and vaginally this month. The FF temps are orally and I'm using TCOYF for the vaginal (different thermometers if you're curious...lol) Today my temps were the same for both! Kinda interesting. http://www.tcoyf.com/members/FourMaybeMore/charts/4.aspx

I did that too Sarah! A few cycles ago I did both oral and vaginal. I found just for the 'no therm in the mouth' factor alone I much prefer vaginal temping now. FTR, I can't see your tcoyf chart though...

Do you find you are liking the vag temping?

I run too. I did a 5k back in April and have another one scheduled for June 15. I keep booking myself races that are only 5k cause I don't want to commit to too much in case I get pregnant. The longer this ttc takes though, the more I feel like I should just book a 10k or half and start the training. Ugh, so conflicting in my head though.

Hi Jordan, I think I prefer the vaginally. I agree; it's easier when you're in a daze just waking up. It sure stays in place easier and I notice to get the most accurate temp orally it almost has to hurt where you position it in your mouth. People also say it's more consistent in case of mouth sleeping, etc. I can truly believe that! I think I am going to do both this whole cycle and see how the charts look in the end.

I did a half back in Feb. and one the previous Feb. (The Disney princess one) and you can so see for this one that my time sucked because I didn't train because I kept thinking I was going to get pregnant every month, and I would just end up walking a lot of it anyway...lol. Well, I was wrong and I came in like 40 mins. slower than last year for the exact same course! Unbelievable.

Anyway, I am so over revolving my life around it in the sense that I would rather be TTCing skinnier than I am if it's going to take 2 years or 3 years anyway, may as well focus on the fitness level/health first and not worry (what if I get an annov. cycle/maybe implantation won't take because I'm exercising too much/will this running be overdoing it/what about my hormones/what if this causes an early mc etc.)

I can't figure out how to link it, but here it is. I like some things about each site, and I think the perfect site would actually be a combination of both! lol

So ladies, how many days after the first day of your last period do you ovulate? I want to get this right!

Sarah- it says I don't have permission to view your chart... :/ But I wanna check it out. I think exercising would be better than not. It's really important to be healthy. Just don't over do it. Some women exercise like crazy DURING their pregnancy.. but that's because they were extra active to begin with!

I ovulate 14 days later Kristi. But it is different for everyone. That's why a lot of women chart. What CD are you on?

Guess what?!?!?! I got a smiley face on CBD today! I'm so thrilled. It's my first cycle using it and I only got it because it was on clearance at Walmart for $7.

I decided that all my other "positive" OPKs for the last 4 days were probably just really ambiguous negatives and I feel confident and good that this is really it. I didn't take a pic of the smiley, but here are some of my Wondfo OPKs from yesterday just as an example... So from what I read about CBD, once you get a smiley, you're basically done testing. It seems like it works different than other OPKs in some ways. Pretty cool! Got a BD in this AM. DH knows it's on again tonight and tomorrow....woohoo! I feel so good about this month. DH's bday (and my dad's, coincidentally) is 2/5 and his grandma who he loved dearly and has passed is 2/3. I would love to have a baby around this time!

How do I link you to my TCOYF chart?

Here is my TCOYF chart:

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to say hi. I've been lurking around here at preg.org for the last few months and I really hope that I'll be sticking around here this month. Hubby and I have been trying for a couple of months for baby #3 but this time we're actually leaving for vacation (sans kids, our first vacation just the two of us, since our honeymoon!) so we're hoping we'll have plenty of baby making time. I actually won't be ovulating until near the end of the week we're away (just finished my period yesterday - CD 5 today) but I hope we can make it work. The last couple of months I've been really surprised we haven't gotten pregnant, which has been very disappointing. Each of my other two pregnancies have been pretty much first try and pregnant. So I'm a little worried but we're trying not to get to worried right yet, it's only been a few months. Good luck to everyone! I wish you all the best and hope to get to know you all here in February 2014. I use to hang out in May 2008 and October 2010 with my other two so maybe I'll even recognize some of you!

Well it's very quiet around here. I am due to o in a week, just before I head off on a 3 day work trip, and will be away from DS for the first time ever overnight.

Madd, I wouldn't know HOW to chart and CD, what IS that? lol.

If I am correct, I am ovulating right now so we're going to try this weekend and for the majority of our holiday haha. I hope to GOD that we have no issues.

Kristi- Fertilityfriend.com has great charting lessons. you just have to sign up for a free account and you'll need to buy a basal body temperature thermometer. Smile CD means cycle day. So CD1 is the first day you start your period. The "average women" ovulates on about CD 14 and ends the cycle on CD28. Smile I hope you get preg this month but if not... you should chart Smile

Well I'm officially here AF started today. Pretty depressed about it tho I've been expecting her since I got a BFN at 11 dpo. I got pg with my last loss in Dec/Jan on my 2nd clomid cycle. And last cycle wast 2nd cycle back on clomid after the loss. I had high hopes that it would work this time too but nope. It's been a nasty past year and I just really want to get pg and move forward. I'll start clomid again in 2 days oh joy! I really dislike how it makes me feel but if it gets me pg I'm all for it. I've been thinking about asking to switch to Femara but I'm unsure bc I do seem to respond well ovulation wise to the clomid, prog last cycle was 68 something.
