Default At what point do I call?

So we've been monitoring my BP at home because I've had a pretty terrible headache the past few days. It's been reading in the 140s/70s-80s. Well this morning right after waking up I got a reading of 138/95 and I'm a bit concerned. My OB never gave me a certain number to call for or to go to L&D for. I'm currently laying on our couch drinking a second large glass of water. When she I call? Now?

I have no clue.. but if something is bothering me about my health unless it is urgent i call the Nurse line and talk to them. If i was having BP issues I would write a log down and call to discuss my numbers... or discuss them at my next visit. I would ask what their guidelines are for BP.

are you really stressed?? it is the holidays

I would just try and relax and call my Dr.

Also if you are not feeling well you BP can be off in either direction and may improve, but since we are prego i would just call.

Remeber it is your health and if you think something is wrong it is always ok to get advice from your dr.
do what you think is right.. try not to stress.

If you're worried it can't hurt to call... Are you having any other issues? Spots?

Since I suffer from High BP during pregnancy. The OB always told me anything over the 140's/90's is cause for a call. So I would call. Good Luck!

My dr has been watching me like a crazy hawk for my blood pressure which hovers around 120/80. She said anything above a 140 on top or a 90 on the bottom was a sign to call her. And that she would be medicating me right away (to bring it down) if I got any readings over those numbers.
Call the dr, no harm in asking. Rest will be sure to help bring it down though!

Well saw my OB today. BP was 139/78 so she wants me to monitor it at home. I have another appointment on Friday. If I am still having high readings at home or have one Friday they are going to prescribe medication. They also did an NST, Baby is doing well. I have 2 really strong contractions in the 2 hour span. They said more then 2 in one hour and off the L&D I go. Also anything over 145/80 BP means L&D. There was also talk of a 24 hour urine collection at the hospital. Here's to hoping I make to the 26th without needing that. I also have a cold with terrible chest congestion too. Yay.... Hoping the BP is from being sick and it goes away...

I have been monitoring my BP at home too this past week. I noticed it was higher when I was sick with bad cold (though not as high as your readings). Now that my cold is mostly gone, my numbers seem back to normal.

Hopefully, your sickness is reason for higher numbers lately, though it was good you were checked out by doctor.
