starting the constant wait again

here I am, back waiting to O after a very sdhort cycle, oinly a nine day lp this month. I wish I knew what was going on, I think it must be some kind of hormone imbalance but according to everyone there ks nithing wrong to prevent me getting pregnant

Wendy I totally get your frustration. I'm essentially here, just waiting for AF to show.
I'm starting to wonder if we should try IUI this cycle or wait for one more. DH wants one more of us trying but I'm tired of BFN's. I have said many times that I'm not interested in IUI but now I'm thinking it's our only hope.

Is the reason you aren't doing IVF purely financial?

That really sucks to have everything supposedly working fine and have it not.

I'm back to temping because I really hated not knowing it my cycle was normal and long or anovulary or just plain weird.

Yup mostly finacial, the travel is also a pain, I am a three hour round trip from the clinic. We could pay for ivf but would eat up our savings. It is around $8000-10000 up front but with the rebates we can get comes out to around $4000 out of pocket, it's the upfront that would be a pain to pay and take our savings. Plus it would be a one shot thing because of money andwell thats alot of money to pay for no gurantee

I would be nervous about the financial commitment of IVF if I had been told everything was ok too. Most people who I know that were successful with it knew their fertility problems going in and it was reasonable to think that IVF would solve it.

Our province just announced that it will cover one round for any form of infertility. I hope that helps some people here out.

That would be awesome to have one round covered. After our next iui if there is no healthy pregnancy we have to re evaluate. Hubby needs to do his tax for the oast two years and we will likely get some money we are owed from the givernment, then my return and his so ivf may be possible later this year. My tax retrun after I take out council rates will cover most of our out of pocket expense

I started round 3 of clomid yesterday. Decided to wait on trying IUI - DH really wants to give it another go. I hadn't realized how muh pressure he was feeling (I've been a bit self absorbed about all of this I guess).

On a positive note, DH surprised me by booking a weekend away from may 23-25. I don't know where to yet, he won't tell me (I'm thinking New York or Boston), but I'm excited about going away - it's in celebration of our 10th wedding anniversary in June Smile

Have a great weekend!

Had a CD10 cycle monitoring appointment today. Not close to o'ing yet but dr said I have 2 follicles on my left side and one on my right. Does that mean I will o on both sides?
I'm excited though, I'm feeling O pains on my right side already, and I swear my right side is my fertile side...fingers crossed!

I have no idea, guess it would depend on how they mature.

Just hanging about waiting to O myself, it's another rainy weekend so k will be cooped up with a bored child.

It's a cool weekend here, and a long one with Monday a stat holiday. But, the sun is shining, which makes the cold a bit more palatable.

Had my trigger shot yesterday. I'm in less pain than last time - I can actually walk! I'll attribute that to the nurse who gave it to me Smile

I did find that it totally knocked me out. I'm sure if was the shot - I was sooo tired and achy all day afterwards. I took some ibuprofen, had a nice relaxing bath, and felt much better.

Back on Monday to confirm I o'd.

Where is everyone else in their cycle? It seems extra quiet around here.

Cd 15 here but I thinkni am going to be oing late again, it used to be cd 16 but last month and possibly thins month it has been l,ater. When I conceivd ds I was a perfect cd 14. I go to a naturopath in two weeks to try that direction before we go for our last iui.
Glad you are in less pain after the trigger shot this time
