clothes :)

So Bubba is 5 weeks and a few days old. and i have been putting away most of his 0-3 clothes for the last week! a few still fit, depending on brand, but i just pulled out a 3-6 month sleeper thinking it would be big on him AND IT FIT. PERFECTLY! this is not the first outfit that has fit either.....

i mean, he was born at 8lb 11oz, left the hospital at 8lb 2oz and has been gaining nearly 2 oz a day (which comes up to like 12-14oz a week instead of 5-8 on breastmilk) which would put him at a little over 12 lbs today. seriously, DD grew fast, and chunked up good, but this kid is going to be the michelin man soon! he's already got fat rolls on his thighs that he was NOT born with!

and we have 7 more size 1 diapers left that i'm going to use up, but i've already proved that 2's fit better.

what size is everyone else in now?

Cailyn is still in Newborn, but we'll be moving her up to size 1 diapers as soon as we run out of the 8 or 9 NB we still have. As for clothes, she's still in Newborn, except for one sleeper. She's a long, skinny baby, and it's looking like Carter's is the brand for us. All of her Carter's stuff still fits. The one sleeper is some off brand I've never heard of.

She was born at 7 lbs 3 oz, her lowest weight was 6 lbs 12 oz, and she's 8 lbs 8.5 oz as of Monday.

Evelyn outgrew her Newborn sleepers at 2 weeks, this week I started putting her in 0-3 and 3 month old onesies too, some 0-3 and 3 month outfits are still big on her but most fit. She gained 19oz in 14 days from 2 weeks to 4 weeks, she was 22.5 inches at 4 weeks, DD1 was 22 inches at 2 months, both were born 20 inches and DD1 is tall so this one will be even taller. She is chubbier than DD1 was at this age too.
She outgrew the N diapers almost 2 weeks ago but I have to use up the ones we have.

Bennett is in 0-3 right now. Most fit perfectly and will be moving on to the 3-6 soon. He's chunked up pretty good. DS1 was 12lbs 2oz at 2 months born at 7lbs 2oz. I'm guessing Bennett is in the 11.5-12lb range right now and he is 2 months. His check up is next week. I think my doctor is going to be surprised with him. He was only 6lbs 9ox at birth.

Pretty much everything you said about Bubba is true for Saphira.

She was born 8 14, at 10 days she was 9 3, and at 15 days she was 9 15. All bf. She's definitely about 12.5lbs now, although I don't have a way to accurately weigh her. She's 5 weeks and a few days, and has already made some 0-3 onesies pop open the bottom snaps while she's been wearing them. We've already retired some, and we're going to have to retire more. She's already wearing some 3-6 month stuff. But things are all sized differently, so it's not concrete. We also have a few size one diapers left, and then we're moving to size 2. She has a very long torso, so she tends to grow out of things from that perspective before she necessarily fits the legs. Her snowsuit fits her torso perfectly right now, and the legs have a good few inches of space!

And seeing as she's coming up on 6 weeks - I'm thinking growth spurt is coming!

Well diaper wise Claire is wearing size 1. A package of Pampers size 1/2 just showed up today so we will be starting those very soon. I will assume C would fit a 2 but I'm cheap so I like to let my kids wear the smaller sized diapers as long as possible. Otherwise I'm paying the same price for the bigger diapersas I pay for the smaller ones, and getting fewer in the box. Biggrin

As for clothes I honestly don't have a l clue! :o When I packed away DD1's clothes I put away the clothes as they stopped fitting not necessary by the size printed on them. So she is still wearing some newborn stuff (mostly just onesies) but she also has some 3-6 month stuff that is fitting just great. I actually have one hooded fleece top that is a 3-6m and she had it on once, just this week, and I noticed it's starting to get small as well.

I know she is a big baby who was born at 9#13oz and 22" long but surprisingly to me it's the length that usually becomes the first issue before the precious fat rolls. Wink

Mine is a little peanut. He's still in NB, but they're finally not huge on him. He was born a little early (37+5) so he started out small. He was born exactly 2 lbs smaller than my first DS, haha.

He had his pediatrician appointment today (at 3wk 3d) and now weighs 8lb 5oz. He was born at 6lb 8oz, and at his one week appointment, he weighed 6lb 5oz. So in the last 17 days, he has gained 2 lbs even (about 1.9 ounces per day). So I'm hoping he's on the road to fattening up.

Declan is in size 1 diapers and is mostly wearing 0-3 clothes, but still has a couple newborn onesies/tops that he can wear. I am intersted in to see where he weighs in at his 2 month appt. He was 8lb 8oz when he was born and got down to 7 lbs 9 oz, but was 9 lbs 12 oz at his 1 month check up.

Hazel is wearing 0-3 months mostly, but can still fit into a few newborn sleepers. She is still wearing mostly the newborn/xs diapers, but can almost fit into some of the smalls.

She is one month today, but we don't go to the doctor until next week. I'm interested to see what she weighs now. She was 8 lbs 1 oz at birth and was down to 7 lbs 8 oz at a day and a half. At 2 weeks she was back to her birth weight and at three weeks was up to 8 lbs 8 oz. She seems to be bigger and growing faster than my other two. They were (and still are) both peanuts.

Lucas has been in 3 month stuff since he was about 2 weeks old. He's getting a little more chunky, but is really tall. He's grown 3 inches since birth, which puts him at 24 inches! He was 9 lbs 5 oz at his 2 week check up, but I have no idea how much he weighs now, I tried measuring with the bathroom scale but got different numbers every time. With diapers I have him in size 2, size 1's fit ok, but he has massive blowouts with them. 2's just seem to keep the poop in better.

Sheldon was born at 5 lbs, 11 ozs, and we tried weighing him ourselves at 1 month and I think he's about 8.5 lbs now. We won't go in to weigh him at the doctor until April 11. He just grew out of his newborn diapers at 5 weeks old, but the size 1 are a little too big still. So, he's kind of in between. He's just starting to grow out of his newborn clothes and into the 0-3 months clothes. He's getting sooooo big, so fast, though. I love his big, pudgy belly. Smile

They were down to 5 lbs when we left the hospital, and according to our attempts at weighing them here, they are around 13 lbs at 12 weeks-- 7 weeks adjusted. They are already growing out of 0-3 mo clothes so I need to go buy some 3-6 mo. Aiden has grown the most. He was the smallest at birth but is now bigger in weight and height. We don't have another appt until the first week of May. I can't wait to see how big they are then.

Yes, this. DH was just upstairs complaining that the size 1 are too big on her. I told him she kept blowing out the back of the newborns and am tired of having to change her clothes after every poop. Can't wait for her to finally lose her cord so we can get her in cloth already.
