Okay so I saw this on pinterest and loved the way it looked so I did something like it on the front north side of our yard. I will warn you I am HORRIBLE with pictures. They NEVER turn out well, but I think you'll get the idea.

Oh and you have to imagine this with a LOT more hostas ranging in size from largest down smallest with a bit of color in front of that.
Very Nice.

HOSTAS!!!
MY FAVORITISTTTTSSSSS plant EVER!!! Word has it that there is some "high heat" variety out there.. but I have never found it!!! I love their variations and OH their greens are just... well God sent.
I love your vision!! I see so much yummy space!! If that one corner is a high sun area? Have you considered maybe a bougainvillea? I am not sure your location, but they produce the most AMAZING blooms. You can even plant in a large pot with a trellis so it can climb. They come in a huge variety of color too!
I live in Western Washington, north of Seattle. That whole corner DH always tells me is a shady area (fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you want to look at it). I do love that idea though.
Oh, I love hostas! They'll be perfect there.
I live a bit south of Seattle and they thrive here.
We have been lucky in that DH's former roommate gave us a LOT of hostas. We will actually have a LOT more next year, but it was too late to transplant them this year so we are waiting for those. I'm so excited.
I have a picture on my phone for you, Angela. It's my miniature hosta in a pot on the deck. I believe the plant is about 1.25" tall. I can hardly wait for it to bloom. lol As soon as I can, I'll download and share.
