wilting flowers

i planted some flowers that appear to be dying. We water them about every other day right now and it has been pretty hot and dry here. Am I not watering them often enough? or long enough? can i bring them back if they start getting more water?

I don't know?? Is it possible that they are just finished for this season? What kind of flowers are they?

I might be because you aren't watering them enough. They might need some every day. But not sure. It's not too hot here most of the time and it has just rained here so much this time of year for the last couple of years that we can't get our veggies to really go yet. Our flowers look great though. I would try watering them everyday for a bit. Not sure how much, but they may come back if you do. It's worth a try anyway.

these are the ones with the flowers totally gone and just the leaves

Hmm. Beautiful flowers. My flowers are not doing supper hot right now either. I think because of the heat. (Mid 90's)

Did you plant them all in full-sun? I know the first picture you have has to have full sun. If you did, then try watering more.

yes, they are all out in our front garden. I know for part of the day there is some shade, but it is mostly sunny. I have been watering every day after dinner and i have already noticed a huge difference! Biggrin

I was also wondering, have you tried plant food? My roses do not do nearly as well when they have not had any plant food. Just be sure not to over do it.

My flowers need plant food. My roses especially do not do well without it. They will start out with 6 or 7 roses, then use everything they have for those flowers then be done for the rest of the season unless I give them plant food. Once I give them plant food they start over again and have several more roses on them. I bought my plant food from Walmart in the garden section.
