I've been a popular person today, lol! Everyone keeps writing to me on AIM! I've given advice to 2 people, and settled a battle with another. Oh yeah, and Bob was writing to me too. Asked me to take a stupid quiz so he could try and make a fool out of me. I got back at him though, hehe!
When Sean gets home I'm going to hurt him! When I went to change Jasmine's diaper, it wasn't latched properly...and she had pooped! It was all over her and her sleeper. Ugh! That was nasty to clean!
Nick's been playing with toys a lot lately! We even have him playing with the chicken gym finally! It's so cute! And he even has a preference for some toys. It's amazing! My almost 5 month old is acting like a 3 month old!!! Now if we could just get him to roll over!
My cold isn't so bad now. I'm wondering if this morning was my allergies acting up. LOL, Sean called me earlier and told me it was snowing! I didn't see it, but Jenn said that it was snowing, so I guess he wasn't lying. I can't believe this...it's OCTOBER! Jeez!
Jasmine's still napping...and it's 6PM! But I see her eyes now, so maybe she's waking up. Hopefully I can get her into the kitchen for dinner before Nick wakes up. He always wakes up when we're about to eat dinner. Don't ask me how he does it. Looks like she's still asleep though. I think she's trying to drop her nap already. Every week she takes her nap a little later than the last. Thus, she's going to sleep later at night. But she still wakes up at the same time in the morning. I just don't get that child, lol! Ooh, she's awake! G/G!
Let's see, Friday was pretty boring. Nothing out of the ordinary happened.
Saturday was very busy! Got up early and went with the playgroup to the orchard for the fall festival. Sean stayed home with Nick, which was a big help! Jas had a lot of fun! First we got on the hay ride, which she wasn't too thrilled about. She kept screaming "punkin" cause she knew that's where we were headed. Then we walked around the pumpkin patch for a while, and they had NO small pumpkins. I ended up grabbing one off of a little table...it was still kinda green, but oh well. I knew she wouldn't get back on the hay ride unless she had a pumpkin. She was pretty good on the ride back. Then we did pony rides. Jas loved it! She cried when she had to get off. Then we took the kids to the petting zoo. She loved that! She even pet the goats and the pony! I got some of it on video. Then we went to get something to eat. She kept calling my hot dog a burger, lol! Then we went home.
Later on Saturday we went to my parents house and did our usual. Nothing special happened there. The ride home was kind of annoying though. Some kids were paintballing cars as they drove by. They got my car 5 times. PISSED ME OFF! I called Sean when I got home and told him about it, and he called the police. Not sure if the kids got caught or not. Hope they did!
Sunday was spent at Sean's parents house. Sean spent the day working on the cars, and I spent the day watching Lifetime movies! Sean's mom watched the kids. We had a nice dinner, but no dessert (WAH). When we left, it was raining. I hate driving home in the rain. But the kids stayed asleep, and Sean and I got to spend some quality time together. That was really nice.
Today has been okay. I went to the gym this morning and walked for an hour. I was sweating like crazy, but that's good! I've decided not to take the Monday night class yet until I speak with the personal trainer. I see her next Tuesday. That should be fun.
The rest of today will be boring probably. Just play with the kids, have dinner, and wait till Sean gets home. He's going to the gym after work tonight, so I won't see him till late. When he gets home I'm going to hop right in the shower!
Last night was great! Sean and I got more quality time together! It was great!
Today's been busy! We rushed out the door early this morning so we could go to my high school to hand in my transcript request form. While there I went to visit my old yearbook teacher. She's not teaching yearbook anymore...so sad. She said the kids were both really cute, and so did a bunch of the other teachers that saw the kids. It's amazing how they all remember me...I certainly wasn't a standout student. It was nice to see her again though. She was very excited to hear that I'm finally getting to go to college.
After that Sean drove us over to a park so we could let Jas play. She loved the slides! Nick was very content until he got hungry. Then we left, and decided to go eat lunch out. We went to Ledo's. Kinda blew my diet, but it was worth it to have a meal out with the family. Then we came home and watched a movie while the kid's napped. Time's really flown by since then...dinner especially. But at the same time, it's only 7:45...and it feels more like 9:45! After I post this I'm going to go lay down on the couch with Sean and enjoy the rest of our evening together. Hopefully the kids will go to sleep soon so he can help me review for a little bit tonight. I really hope I do well on this math test!
Another fun day at the gym. Why is it that every time I get down to my last 5 minutes of walking, the kid's center calls me in because Nick is crying? That kid really knows how to mess up important things!
I'm really tired right now. I hope Sean gets home soon. I've been keeping myself busy with building my playgroup's new website, but now I'm done, so I have nothing better to do. Jasmine's watching SpongeBob, and Nick's actually asleep!
Oy! I'm getting so behind on this thing! Let's see here...
10/30: Took my math placement test. Did so well that I'm exempt from all math classes! WOO HOO!!! I owe it all to my wonderful husband too, because he helped me study! Then I went to my parent's house and took the kids to the mall for trick or treating. Jas got lots of candy, and was really enjoying the stroll around. Ran into Kristen and her daughter who's 2 months younger than Jas. It was nice to see her again. Probably won't ever see her again though, we're really not all that close.
10/31: Took the kids to my parents again to go out trick or treating. Again, Jas loved it. She was so obsessed with her candy, lol! One time my mother got to talking with a lady and Jas was getting impatient, so she climbed out of the stroller and started pushing it back down the driveway! Then when my mother went to put her back into the stroller she took Jasmine's bucket, and Jas threw a fit screaming "My candy!" We've created a monster! She kept asking for chocolate, which baffles me cause she's never had chocolate before!
11/1: Once again, went to my parents house, as is my Saturday tradition. Just kinda hung around the house really. Nothing important happened.
11/2: Went to Sean's parents house for dinner. It was a gorgeous day, much like the last few days. Sean and his father pulled down some branches of a tree while I watched my Lifetime movies. His aunts and uncles came over too, which was nice. One of his aunt's told me about some OTC medications that could help with my depression. She also said she'd talk to her partner (a psychiatrist) about getting me some free samples of a new anti-depressant that may work for me. It was nice talking to her.
And today has been pretty boring. I didn't go to the gym because the I&T lady was coming over. She brought over this little wedge that I'm supposed to put Nick on several times a day. It's supposed to help him enjoy tummy time. It takes up a lot of space, but the worst part is that Jas thinks it's a slide and won't stay off of it. Ay! Jas ate all of her dinner tonight, which made me so happy! She never eats a big dinner.
Yesterday was SO busy! First I took Nick to the dr. He has a cold now, and an eye infection. I have some medicine for him, and am waiting on the eye drops (that will burn his eyes, poor baby). Then Sean and I cleaned a LOT yesterday. I couldn't believe all that we got done! Then I made dinner and we ate! After dinner I did my homework and Sean took the kids downstairs to play. The IL's came over to drop off my new medication while I was doing homework. MIL had my new medication...Lexapro. Said it should work in 3-7 days, so we'll see! When they left, Sean and I just kinda hung out on the couch. Then it was off to bed!
Normally I'm at the gym right now, but because Nick's contageous I can't go. Jasmine's playing and watching Noggin, and Nick's asleep. And now I smell a dirty diaper that needs changed.
I wish Sean was home now. Nick won't stop crying, and it's driving me up the wall. I don't have a clue what's upsetting him. He's been fed and changed, and I played with him till he cried. I gave him his medicine about an hour ago, and it says that it will cause drowsiness, so I find it hard to believe that he's still awake. Unless he did spit it out like I suspected. That little sneak! I'm just rocking him in his car seat now, hoping he'll go to sleep soon. He's calming down some...softly cooing at his noah's ark toy.
Jasmine amazed me today! I was counting on my fingers with her, and then she tried it. "1, 2, 3, 2, 3" which is what she's always done. Then when she did it again, she did 1, 2, 3, and I interrupted her saying 4, 5. But instead of repeating me, she went on. "6, 7, 8"! We've never worked on those numbers before! She also said "tine" which I'm assuming is her way of combining 9 and 10, since I know she can say nine and ten. Then she just put them all together, "1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, tine"! So now I have to figure out how to get her to slip in that 4 and 5. Then I'll deal with the 9 and 10 issue.
I'm going to be buying a webcam tonight! Sean said he'd leave me his credit card so I could order it today, but he forgot, so I'm doing it tonight. $35 isn't too bad! And this weekend he's putting more money in my checking account so I can order that easel for Jasmine's birthday. Not a clue when he'll put the Christmas money in my account. I'd really like to start shopping now.
Jasmine has this new obsession where she'll take her blanket or Nick's blanket and spread it out like a tablecloth on some of her toys. Right now it's on her activity table, and now she's crawled in there and is laying her head down and saying "Night Night"! She cracks me up. Hey Arnold is on, and she's watching attentively. When it first came on she was even saying "Hey Arnold" and waving, which she's never done before.
Aye! She's obsessed with lollipops! She keeps asking for pops. I never should've taken her out trick or treating!
Nothing much has been happening lately. Took the kids to my parents house on Saturday. They had a lot of fun. On Sunday I went Christmas shopping with MIL. Bought a lot of toys for the kids! I can't wait till Christmas! I stayed for dinner at the IL's, and then went to see my parents again.
Today I had an appt with the personal trainer. Got a lot figured out as far as nutrition goes, but we don't talk about the exercise until next week. I have to work on my eating habits, but I'm not sure how successful I'll be.
I bought my playgroup's website today. It turned out great! Now I'm just waiting for all of them to register, and then we're ready to go! I'm so excited!
Well, I'll start with my playgroup. It's going really well. We have lots of members now, and are getting much more organized events going. Our newest member has 8 week old twins, and I can't wait to see them. I love twins! We also combined with a southern Maryland playgroup that just started up! I'm really excited about the joining of the two groups. Hopefully we can all get together in the spring and go to the zoo. I'd love to meet all the southern Maryland moms!
I met with the personal trainer for the fitness program. She gave me a workout program that involves lots of weight lifting. She said it won't build muscle, just tone it, so that's good. I really can't wait to lose all this weight!
I've been busy with lots of stuff. Christmas shopping and homework mostly. Can't wait till college in February! The kids are good too. Jasmine gets more and more into the terrible twos with each day. But she's still just as smart and adorable as always! We've conquered the colors, so now it's on to numbers. And Nick's reflux has been getting worse, so he's very cranky. He's eating cereal very well now though, which is good. He also rolls over all the time. We're working on sitting up now.
We have 2 repairs to make on our house now. The first one happened during the windstorm. We lost a huge chunk of shingles, so Sean's up there right now fixing it. Unfortunately he couldn't fix it sooner...with all the rain, we now have spots on our ceilings. The second one happened just last night. Someone stopped in front of our house, shot a bb gun at our window, and broke it. Not a clue who did it, or why, but needless to say, I'm pissed. Now I'm all freaked out, and afraid to go near the windows. Our house is the only one it happened to, so I've become very paranoid thinking someone targeted us. Sean said he's going to file a police report, but he hasn't called yet, so maybe he's changed his mind.
Sean and I are doing well. We've had a few fights about this and that, but nothing major. Our latest spat was about my IUD (which I just got a few days ago). I've been feeling miserable...crampy and lightheaded...and he has no sympathy for me. He can be so insensitive sometimes. My parents have been big helps though, watching the kids for a while so I could rest. I'm feeling a little better today though, but I still hurt a good bit.
I guess that's about it. The kids are napping, so I'm just puttsing around on the computer since I have nothing better to do. Hopefully I'll remember to write more often, lol!
