Thanks you guys, it really did feel SO good to make it back there. It was exactly what I needed to kick start myself again, I've been sleeping better, eating better & feeling better ~ I mean who can complain!? There aren't any bad side effects to this LOL
Hi you guys! Well thanks to the new boards, I now have 74 pages in this journal
I weighed myself on Saturday morning which also marked my 15th wk of pregnancy, AND my first day in the 2nd trimester. I'm up 5lbs & I'm okay with that, I think it's a good weight gain & I know it's not from eating junk all the time, although I HAVE enjoyed my fair share of chocolate, I must admit
I've read *a lot* about the brewer diet & while I'm not 100% convinced that it prevents pre-e I HAVE felt really good, and I know it's a very healthy diet to follow when pregnant. I've had the chance to gether quite a bit of info that I plan on keeping even though this is my last baby, I'm pretty sure I'll find someone who will find the information useful.
Exercise ~ I admit I've not made it to the gym as much as I'd like to, but this pregnancy has been soo kind to me that I've been able to stay quite active, I'm really grateful for that b/c I feel like it'll allow me to bounce back, physically, a lot easier after having this baby. I love the fact that I'm pregnant right now & I'm trying to enjoy every moment that I can, journaling my thoughts & doing what I can to make it memorable ~ having said that I am also really excited about the idea of being able to begin losing weight again. I'm in such a good place, I have this pregnancy to enjoy and then afterwards instead of mourning not being pregnant anymore I have something just as exciting to look forward too. I really couldn't of planned it any better
Hi Dawn! The brewer diet is basically about getting in enough protien (btwn 60-100grms a dy) and your veggies/fruit and so on. You can read more about it here.
So far things are going great weight wise, I was down 1lb at my last visit so a gain of 4lbs but I know I've put on weight this month, my next visit is on the 8th so we'll see. I've been really relaxed about it all, enjoying some sweets here n' there but getting my protein in and such & trying to be as good as possible. The fall/winter is a tuff one sooooo many comfort foods!!! lol
I was talking to my sister today about how EXCITED I am to begin losing weight again, it'll be a few months off still but despite my down days & my struggles I really did enjoy it and I enjoyed being apart of so many neat ladies & groups who were also striving to lose.
My mom told me today that she has officially lost 30lbs, I am SO proud of her!! My sister is 20lbs away from her goal weight & she's looking awsome too.
Chimmy I'm so glad to see you posting! I will definately have to keep that diet in mind when I get pregnant, thanks for sharing the link!
Sounds like you are doing really great, I'm so glad that you've been able to relax! I can't believe you are 22 weeks already, how the heck did that happen?!?!

Its great that you are excited to begin losing weight again after the baby, I think that is a really good sign! I can't wait to have you back here full time so I can cheer you on, you are MIA far too often now! Although hopefully I'll be sporting my own pregnancy fitness journal by then
Wow has it really been 6wks since I last posted here? LOL Crazy.
A few more months & I'll be back here, I can't wait! Although I'm enjoying the last little while that I'll be pregnant, this has been such an interesting pregnancy ~ by far my easiest and hardest all at the same time. DH has schedualed his V ~ it'll be nice to relax in that area & know that when I start losing weight again it'll be for good! LOL I can't WAIT to see that scale under 200lbs ~ I've done awsome though & not gained much this pregnancy, just the perfect amount if you ask me. I've also stayed very active, perhaps not at the gym but in many other ways & I'm pleased about that.
I admit I've had a bit more chocolate than I probably should lol But otherwise I'm still eating well ~ still I should probably concentrate on being a bit better. Especially in the protein department. I'd also like to get back into a schedual of going to the gym, nothing rigorous but just getting there and enjoying some mild workouts. That way after I have her it wont be such a shock to my system.
Hi Dawn Your such a sweetheart. I know it really is crazy that I'm already 28wks, it feels like I just announced the pregnancy & here I am 10-12wks before delivery.
My m/w appointment went well this morning, bp was great and I've only gained a lb making it a total of 7lbs! The nice part is that I haven't weighed myself once at home, and I eat when hungry & I get all my protein in and I'm still balancing out ~ that's a nice feeling. What's even more nice is if I keep at this I'll only have 15-20lbs to lose (if that!) before I'm under the 200lb mark & most of it will fall off once I have her, that makes me SO happy
