I can't believe I have never updated my journal to say... successful vbac of a 8 pound 9 ounce baby boy on September 22, 2008! Woohoo! It was the most awesome experience of my life. My birth story can be found on the birthing naturally and the vbac support board.
I can't say that I've healed completely from the trauma surrounding my daughter's birth. I still feel guilty that she wasn't welcomed to the world with the same dedication, concern and support that my son enjoyed. But I did this for her as well. Mommy was able to pick her up in the hospital and let her sit in my lap to meet her baby brother... I could never have done that with another c-section.
I'm so happy that things went as planned. Next up... a home birth. ;)
