Ok all you ladies out there with a SO or husband, you will all know exactly what I'm talking about when I say this one, simple word.

    BACHELOR.

Why do men bring this lifestyle with them into marriage, anyway? How many dirty dishes can one man leave around the house for me to pick up? Ohhhhh, and let's not discuss the endless trail of towels. shirts. and *gasp* dirty underwear.

Do you suppose, maybe, if I strew his stuff on the front lawn, he might get the idea? Being direct about it as in (and don't forget the side of guilt when you say this, possibly throwing in tears), "Hey honey! Do your poor, tired, pregnant wife a huge favor and pick up your dishes-towels-clothes-and *gasp* dirty underwear!!!!" obviously isn't working. Perhaps I could starch all the dirty clothes for good measure and make a rather stark-looking snowman type figure out on the front lawn, hmmmm?

This has got to be one of the biggest trials yet. But I promised you God I would praise you when it was good and I would praise you when it wasn't so good. So you're my only hope. You're the only hope this family has. Help me just be focused on You, on Your Words. Otherwise, I might just go commit myself to the nuthouse. I never thought something like this would happen again. Never.

But, on a good note, this baby is doing well. The nurse actually found the h/b yesterday with the doppler first try and it was in the 160's. They're fixing to change my insulin around in hopes that they can get me on a pump soon. I would so love that.

God, all I am asking for is today. Nothing more than that. Without you, this marriage is not going to survive. But right now, I'll tell you honestly that I hate what this man does.

Ok. 12 weeks, 5 days (last Thursday) I went to the doc. Everything went well-this little peanut isn't much of a peanut anymore-a real, live, moving baby with arms and legs and everything!

I'm definitely feeling movement now, although not all the time. I had my cerclage placed yesterday and all went well. I should have my pain meds tomorrow morning for it and I'm looking forward to the pain disappating enough I can do a few things. Plain 'ole tylenol ain't cutting it. The big u/s date is July 2nd. I'll be far enough along then so we can tell what we're having. This kiddo sure is a mover! Last week s/he was laying with its head to the right and feet to the left. Just before surgery it was laying with its head to the left and feet to the right. Just after surgery it was laying head down, feet up. This kiddo sure can get around! Surgery wasn't much fun-spinals seem to take forever to wear off for me-but whatever they gave me just before surgery in that IV made me feel weird until I had to drink the nasty stuff that keeps you from barfing. While we were waiting for the spinal to wear off we saw 3 brand new babies from c/s mamas. I never want a c/s after seeing how a mama looks after having one.

Looks like we're moving to a new town at the end of this year. It just doesn't seem there's really anything left here in OKC to keep us here. So we're praying to make sure this is for certain God's direction for us. In the meantime, we're getting things fixed around this rental property so I can get my deposit back. I think we're both ready for a change.

So today, I got a cantackerin' to clean. Big time. Just 'cause I know with a major move at the end of the year and a newborn, I'm not about to do it then 'cause I won't feel up to it. Six kids closets and toy boxes later, two cabinets, and our bedroom, I'm wiped out. And all I have to show for it at the end of the day is two ears that hurt, a stuffy nose, and a throbbing right above my right eyebrow. Well, that and a sense of relief at getting so much done in one day.

Today, my baby turns eleven. Hard to believe I've got a middle schooler now!

I got news today I wasn't expecting. I decided to do the quad screen for this pregnancy. Came back with an increased risk for spinabifida. I have an ultrasound on the 18th at 8:45....this is going to be a LONG week! As I recall, this happened with my first pregnancy also...but it's been so long, I can't remember. Why do docs drop bombshells like that and then make you wait????

Everything is going to be just fine. I hate that the doc told you that and is making you wait. The good news about it is that you will get a really advanced u/s and will likely get to find out the gender of your baby next week! We found out right about the same time with a fancy u/s at the perinatologist.

I had the strangest dream last night...I had a dream my water broke, and I went to the hospital, absolutely panicking b/c I knew it was too early. When I began bleeding, I really began to panic. They had some sort of new u/s machine and it was like watching a nintendo wii screen. They discovered I had two babies in there, and I was actually 8 weeks along with both, not 16. lol
