I'm getting fricken tired of feeling like a "bad news bearer". Swear to god, everytime we go to a dr's office we come back with some crappy news.

We went to see a eye specialist this morning. You guessed it, not the best news. His right eye is really bad. They want to do injections (into his eye...ouch!) of either a steriod or this colon cancer drug. We need to decide which one to go with. He has a tentative appointment to have it done April 9th.

I'll come back later. Dinner needs to get finished.

    Here.

    Good.....i guess.

We went to Jim's first cardiac rehab class on Fri. It was kewl. It's right at the hosp (and lord knows i've seen enough of that place!). They check his blood pressure and put him on the heart monitors first....then do they do a 5 min warm up and different machines (ie: treadmill, bike) for about 15-20 a piece. Then another 5 min for cool down and checking blood pressure and sugar levels. Then we have 1/2 hr for a typical class thing. Friday's are food related. They also have seperate cooking classes on Wend's. 12 cpls go and all cook the same meal together and eat it together afterwards.

Made our first payment towards health insurance.....let me tell ya, NOT FUN! Nice to see $600 down the drain. I'm just waiting to see what these bills are going to look like. *J*'s stay in the NICU for 34 days was over 50K. That did NOT include dr's or anything else.

*J* is involved with the special olypmics(sp?). They are doing swimming lessons now. It's at the local "Y".

I have a gut feeling *M* is not going to be on a IEP for next year. Which, guess what? Means i get screwed again. If he doesn't get an IEP and we want to send him full-day it's over 2500/year. If we send him half-day (his same schedule as this yr) it's free. How am i going to work fulltime or go to school fulltime? I'm not going to be able to.

    Here.

I freaked my sister out lastnight.

backstory: Jim's 18 yr old great niece is pregnant. She has nothing and the BD is a tool. He doesn't work. Her family is kinda hoping he disappears.

Anyways. Lastnight, i talked to my sister and asked her if she still had her maternity clothes and if she was planning on doing anything with them. She thought i needed them. God, NO! She did lend them out to a few SIL's of her's and is going to be bringing them up in a few wks.

    here.

I need to get past this damn fear during this time of the yr. I just make it worse on myself (and Jim).

I'm freaked about how i'm going to handle seeing Jim's great niece. She's due the end of June. Zachary was the beginning of June so....she'll be within sorta the same time frame wks wise.

I hate seeing those dates in April on things. We bought some half/half for Jim's coffee and lucky me check the date on it before i opened it....April 19th.

I just want this yr to be easy on me. The kids start their April vacation that Fri (the 18th).

It is just bizarre how time flies. Sept 2008 will be 20 yrs since my Uncle Ed passed away. I will always always remember that because he died the day before i started my freshman yr in high school.

    i get my life back.

The nurse we met with today at cardiac rehab told me that i needed to start getting my life back on track. Jim is doing good and needs to start doing things for himself. Next time he goes, i'm just supposed to drop him off and go somewhere else in the hosp (jewelry sale in the gift shop!!) for the hr that they work out but then i can come back for the 1/2 hr class.

I need to call Macy's tomorrow. They called me the other day. I'm still really confused about them. It bothers me that no one (my manager or co-workers) have at least called in the past few wks to see how either of us is doing. I just find that inexcusable.

We need to start doing thank you cards for his co-workers and people in *J*'s pack.

    OH.

    MY.

    GOD!!

We finally got the bill from the hosp.

    The total: $169,034.60

    The amount we owe: $350.00

I'm assuming this is not including the dr's fee's.

OMG. Thank You Tufts! This would have seriously screwed us.

I'm considering doing the MA (Medical Assistant) course instead of the LPN program. Being an MA, there isn't as much having to deal with blood. I know i'll have to do injections (but i can practice on DH with his insulin).

    The day class is Mon-Thurs : 8am-2:30pm (1 yr)

The night class is Tues, Wend, Thurs : 5:30pm-9:30pm (2 yrs)

So combined with Matt's IEP and possibly getting one next yr....i have time to make a decision.

If i do the day class we're def going to have to trade my car in.

    Here.

I'm hopefully going back to work next wk.

Jim's eye procedure is next wk. Not looking forward to that.

He see's the cardiologist again the end of April. They'll do the echocardiogram then and see what his ejection fraction is. He won't be able to return to work till we have the results of that.

We got a call from the car dealership that we got approved for another loan. We'll wait and see what happens with him working. I know my car needs to be traded in.
