Bed Rest and High Risk

I, I have been on bed rest for 4 weeks now. I see a Perinotologist now and was told that the blood vessels to my uterus keep blowing. Has anyone ever had this or know anything about it?

I have never heard of that. I will/am considered high risk to because of high blood pressure and incompetent cervix. I hope you get some answers. I will be thinking about you and your little one.

I don't have any experience with that condition but I can sympathize with the bed rest. This is my second high risk pregnancy thanks to ICP and while I've avoided bed rest for most of the pregnancy with this one, I was on it for the better part of my pregnancy with DD. It's hard having so much time on your hands to sit and wonder. I'd talk to your OB/Peri about your concerns/questions, IMO it's important to feel that you understand what's going on as much as they do. Thinking of you!

Do you have pre-e? That can compromise the blood flow to your uterus and your baby. How are you doing on the bed rest?

Sorry this took so long. I am now 18 weeks and 5 days into bed rest. I did have pre e with dd1 but so far just the swelling no bp issues. Alto has been going on so I am very fortunate to have made it to 28 weeks 3 days! Woo hoo! You can look t my June 2013 board if you want to catch up on what's been happening. To summarize, the blood clot has gone away, my placenta isn't working too well but seems to have not gotten worse so far, I have been in and out of L&D for many issues, she is a girl and a bit behind bc of the strain on my placenta, currently I am contracting and not having too much change because of them, and every day is a gift. Hope that's a good summery
