I put Ava on a new feeding schedule at daycare and she seems to be sleeping better there. She's been taking 3 hour naps at daycare!

    6:45 - 6 oz bottle
    9:45-10:00 - cereal and bottle
1:00ish - jar of baby food - usually fruit
    3:00ish - 6 oz bottle
6:30ish - another jar of baby food (something with a veggie) and another bottle.

I finally started her on meat. She had chicken and vegetables today and yesterday. She loved it.

Sophia - Ava stares longingly at whatever we are eating too. I usually give her a taste of everything, as long as it isn't hard since she doesn't have teeth. Last night, I gave her some Spanish rice and a few bites of my taco meat. She also had some cheese.

If Natalie has eaten before our dinner she normally gets some finger foods, either boiled veggies (whatever we are having) or cheerios.

Has anyone given their LO's beans yet? Mine has had and LOVES refried beans. I was thinking about making some lentils sometime this week and give him some of those. I just don't want it to make him overly gassy...

I wanted to try lentils but since Emily doesnt eat veggies and I mean not even 1 teaspoon of veggies mixed with fruits or yogurt, she can smell them and taste them, so I will have to wait and see on the lentils.
I'm giving up on veggies for a while, not only for a few days but maybe 2 weeks and see if my child will eat them then. Today I added some sweet peas to baked apples, it was so sweet but she just wouldnt have it. I'm sooo frustrated right now, I'm wasting so much food, she cant just eat peaches and yogurt all the time. Today I will try plums with figs, hope she likes that, made her some papaya, will try that in 3 days, its really sweet and smooth in texture so I hope she will like it.

So it seems based on what your LO's are eating that I'm underfeeding Jessica. She gets about 1-2 oz with two meals a day, two bottles of pumped milk each at 5 oz and 3 nursing sessions. Guess I need to see about adding more.

Jessica is almost 20lbs though and she doesn't seem to be starving.

I only feed Wyatt solids 2x a day, thinking I might up it to 3x today. For awhile he wasn't actually eating all of the food (2oz) so I didn't want to feed him to often, but last night he ate a full 3oz when we were out. He also just bf's on demand, so some days he eats much more than others.

I've given Kaysen refried beans - not as a meal, but bites of mine. He likes them, too.

I typically feed Kaysen food twice a day in addition to his bottles. Though I, too, have been thinking he's probably ready for a third meal.

Victor gets lunch at 11:00 a.m. and that is 3 cubes of a veggie and 2 cubes of a fruit. Most days they tell me he eats everything. He then eats dinner about 6:00 p.m. and that is usually the same amount of veggies (3 cubes) and some yogurt.

He hasn't shown any interest in eating sooner the 11 a.m. - but that is probably based on the fact that he wakes and eats at 4/5 a.m. and then gets another bf session around 7 a.m.

I dont think you are starving Jessica, when they are hungry they will let us know. Emily is only 18lbs.

So I gave her figs with the sour plums and she ate them, first she wouldnt eat because she was sure I was trying to give her veggies because thats what she gets in the evening but after a few mins she finally tasted no veggies and started to open her mouth.

i agree that you are not starving Jessica. depending on the day Ellie usualy gets 2 meals, and depending on the time, i think i got her to eat a total of 4 oz cereal and fruit last night, cereal and veggies a couple weeks ago, but more often its barly 2 oz of anything and thats it! even if i'm gone at work for 8 hours, she usually will take only one, MAYBE two bottles, and the bottle is only 5 oz, and she almost never finishes it too! i'm a pushover for Ellie though, i'll nurse anytime she "asks" so i nurse her more than 3 times a day.
saturday's i'm gone all day and they look something like this

    7AM sleep nursing
8:30 try to feed her oatmeal,
9 try to get her to nurse a little more so i'm a little emptier to start off a long day, i've given up pumping at work
11 with DH cheerios, with another sitter 2 oz food
12 bottle if she's with another sitter, with DH he waits until 1
3 bottle, if she'll take it usually will if not with DH
4:30 food again with another sitter, maybe if DH feels like it
6:15 i get home and nurse right then

7:30 i feed her something entertaining because i missed it all day, sometimes just cheerios, sometimes noodles or rice from my dinner
    8 nurse again
    9:30 nurse to sleep.
