Most of the time toasted, but if I get a bun out I will rip small pieces off and give them to her.

Wyatt has had pizza crust and hamburger bun I just tear off tiny bits and give them to him.
Sophia, i often give Ellie 4 meals a day, or 3 meals and a snack, whatever you want to call it. depending on how hungry she is. she usually only eats half a jar of most things, but if i get her just right at lunch and she's hungry or around dinner time she will finish off the half jar of whatever from last time, then i'll have to make her some more.
i give cheerios, and Ellie rarely chokes on them, the dissolve so fast and they have ahole in the middle just like lifesavers candy so its harder to choke on them.
Erika, Ellie will not eat pureed green beans. but if i give her bites of green beans from my plate she will eat them! just keep working on her! some babies just arent interested until they are over a year old!
and i'm bad, i made apple blueberry crisp with a ton of sugar in it and i pureed some for Ellie. but i usually add an extra cube of apple or blueberry puree and some oatmeal so that hers has a lower concentration of sugar. that stuff was SOOOO GOOOD though, i need more apples i want to make it again!
Thanks, I haven't given her any *snacks* per se, except during mealtimes. She hasn't really asked for them either. In fact, she's not big on the eating...same old story...she is always fussy when she is no longer hungry, instead of being full. So she takes a few bites and then she fusses to get out of the high chair. Unless it's banana or applesauce next.
I've been tempted to let her try bread, I might do that, now that I've seen so many of you giving it to your babies!
I feel sorta like I'm not catching up on the textures with Evie as I'd like to. I just realized we should try to get her on more minced/grated/lumpy texture, now that she is 8 months old. I'm always afraid to give her a new texture to try b/c she invariably gags on it, and then vomits her meal. ugh.
Emy isnt a big eater, today she wasnt crazy about pears, I think she is getting bored with the pureed foods, yesterday I mashed up some banana with bluberry puree and she couldnt get enough of it, but she saw me mash the banana and I left it with some bigger pieces so maybe she likes the texture.
Today I made her bread with cheese and it was so good but she wasnt too crazy about it, not sure if she didnt like the taste or she wasnt that hungry. I put a slice of cheese on a whole wheat bread and put it in the oven to melt, the bread got a bit toased but just enough to taste yummy, I cut it up into tiny pieces like the puffs size and let it cool for a few, I had to eat most of it but I think she will get used to it and once she can feed herself she will do better with it, she still wont put the food in her mouth.
I think tomorrow I will make her some veggies and give her some carrots and squash pieces. Wish me luck
Natalie has been introduced to ground beef, not the biggest fan of it, went a bit better when I pureed it with some potato tonight. We tried giving her bite sized pieces of plum she overloaded her mouth with them and then began to choke, I have to only allow Natalie small amounts of solid food (not pureed) at a time or she will stuff it in till her mouth is too full and then choke, she did it 3 times over the last few days. :sigh:

We tried chicken a few nights ago and Wyatt HATED it. He was gagging and spitting. Does anyone have a recipe for chicken? We tried mixing it with Sweet potato and apples, but he still wasn't too fond.
