My poor little monster...I think he is starting to learn what muscles are used in pooping. Before he could just kind of "shart" for a lack of a better term (please excuse my crudeness!) and it would come out. Now he has to engage muscles to make it happen. It kind of breaks my heart, but it's a little comical at the same time. He's sitting in his exersaucer just a grunting away. He doesn't seem to be constipated, he doesn't cry or anything...it's just a little work for him when he's not used to it! On the bright side, there are never any surprise poopy diapers! I pretty much know for sure when he's filling his pants now!

Ok I have a question about solids. Is it normal for a baby to make a face the first times trying new food? We have only been doing solids for about a week and Gage makes a face like he doesn't like it every time. DH thought is was b/c he didn't like bananas b/c DH doesn't like them either but when I started rice cereal he did the same thing. He still ate it and kept opening his mouth like he wanted more but he made a weird face everytime.

I'm sure that's pretty normal. Carson still makes a face at the first bite no matter what it is. Like he's trying to figure out if it's edible or not, lol. If Gage keeps wanting more, he must be alright with it.

I have to add my TMI comment about the solid food poo.......we tried steamed pureed greenbeans last week........yeah, okay.......greenbeans are freakin' disgusting once they've been run through a baby. I coughed and gagged. Everything else is not as bad. I like that it's color-coded so you can see how long it took a certain food to digest, lol.

I agree with Andrea...he's probably processing the new texture and taste. I would think he'd flat out refuse to eat it if he didn't like it, not keep opening his mouth for more!

We started avocados today well kinda. She had a little bit and then it came back up. Not sure if she didnt like it because just before it came back up she kinda gaged or maybe her tummy isnt ready yet. Should I wait a few weeks before we try avocados again or should I try again tomorrow? Btw they were so yummy, I picked a perfect one for her too bad she puked it up.

Guess I will have to wait with the avocados, DH ate the whole thing last night and I dont have the time to go to the store to get more. I cant believe he ate it. I'm surprised he didnt go for the applesauce yet, he loves applesauce, I will kill him if he starts eating Emys food.
I was hoping she will like avocados, I love them and I ate them during pregnancy so she should be used to them
