I don't know if anyone else is having issues with this but please speak up if you do - I'm willing to try anything!
We went to her appt last week (yes, her 1 month checkup! holy moly!) and I was talking to the dr about the issues she was having, evidently they think she has reflux and she was full of gas. Evidently if you thump on their bellies and they sound hollow, there's a lot of gas in there. I cannot get her to burp, we can pat for an hour and she'll barely do anything. She is EBF so even though she's not getting as much air when she eats as she would with a bottle, it's still an issue and the poor thing is in so much pain. She'll be fine and then just start screaming and I HATE that's there nothing I can do for her! She's sleeping on an incline now which seems to be helping the reflux at night, she's no longer spitting up as soon as she lays down but the gas is still an issue - mylicon does nothing for her. The ped told us to give her 1/2 an ounce of pear juice and they've found that it can help - so far, haven't really noticed a difference.
Any suggestions? Mama is beat! She also has an umbilical hernia but so far that doesn't seem to be causing her any pain but she will definitly only be able to wear a one piece this summer!
