STTN?

Just curious if anyone's LOs are sleeping 5-6 hours at night yet? Ben just had the longest stretch yet last night... 11:30 pm to 5:00 am. Not bad for a BFing baby. Biggrin

Nice! I had one that long last week, and it was fabulous. It's nice to feel human again when you actually get some sleep, isn't it?

Violet tends to sleep for a while in the afternoons, so it lets me get to of the house and do stuff with my DD while she sleeps in the car seat. And if I really need her to sleep for a while, I let her cry for a few minutes longer than I normally would (bad mom, I know!) so she wears herself out! It's not like I let her cry for 20 minutes, but sometimes if she's hungry I'll wait maybe 3 or 4 minutes before picking her up. I still talk to her, but she gets pretty mad that I don't feed her immediately, and then she passes out right after she eats. (Hopefully I'm not doing too much psychological damage, LOL!)

Naava typically sleeps 5 or more hours in a stretch at night. She has been from the very beginning. There have only been a handful of nights when she didn't. Last night's almost 8 were really nice, though. I've been very lucky - she's my fourth, and every one of them was STTN by 6 weeks old. I think the bottle feeding definitely plays a part, but it's not the only factor.

Yes, thankfully.....we're to bed no later than 11pm and she sleeps until around 6am or so, when we get Daddy up for work.

Emily has slept 12-5 since she was born. The past few days she has slept 11-5/6. She is bf, I refuse to wake her to nurse at night.

Olivia sleeps for pretty good stretches too - and has since birth, really. She generally sleeps from about 11 - 4, then again till 8 or 9 after she eats again.

WTH people!! Jealous!!! Vi typically goes two hour stretches, once in a blue moon three. And sometimes I have to watch TV and rock or walk in the living room to get her back to sleep. Twice this week I was up for two hours straight in the wee hours. Ahh!!

Evan didn't sleep a five hour stretch until he was three months old, and didn't "sleep through the night" until he was eight months!

And let me add that I know they are supposed to be able to start doing longer stretches by the time they are eleven pounds, and Violet is already over eleven pounds! Little stinker.

Nate has just this week started to do 3-4 hour stretches which feel amazing after the 1-2 hours he had been doing. I'm hoping it continues!

Same here!! Camden typically does one 3 hour stretch (if we are lucky) and then one-two hour stretches and it is not too uncommon for him to be up for a couple hours in a row b/w 2-5 am! Drew seriously didn't STTN until a few months before the baby was born!!

pico83 (not verified)

He did a 5 hour stretch a few days ago, but we're still mostly at about 3.5 hours.

she's just started as of last week doing solid 3.5 hours at night and occasionally will give a 5 stretch. Not too bad - Riley (ds) was still doing 2 hours at this point so I'm pleased!

Layla has been sleeping one 5-6 hour stretch since about one month old. Usually about 11pm - 4 or 5am. Then she eats and goes right back to sleep, but her second stretch of sleep is more restless and she always seems gassy. She does love to sleep, though, at almost 2 months old she is still sleeping at least 20 hours out of 24.
