i check in from time to time, but i CLEARLY don't keep up with my siggy. lol. Ellie is doing great in head start 4 full days a week. despite me counting with her ALL THE TIME, and reading books and trying to teach her colors, she just kinda ignored me. or maybe she didnt quite understand them yet, because after 2 months of school she's a whiz. singing songs all the time, begging me to read books, very rarely having potty accidents, counting better on her own, and knows all her colors! Bubba is a very sweet little guy, learns new words every day, always hugging people, cute than hell, sleeps like a rock and only demands his "bear" and other "bear" which is a dog stuffed animal. and a blanket, boy loves to sleep!
and biggest news.... I'M NOT PREGNANT.... lol..... WE BOUGHT A HOUSE. yesterday.we've been looking for 3 YEARS. so its about time! its perfect, 3+ bedrooms, farmhouse style, older house, with 5.5 acres and a barn. we're getting a dog in 3 days too. finally i have enough places to put all my people! we even pained Ellie's room pink so maybe she'll sleep in it! now Ellie refuses to go back to our apartment! kind of a pain, but i'm glad she likes the new place! i'm excited, but after just 36 hrs of homeownership, i am lucky i got a shower, i have no clean jeans and i can't remember when i last brushed my teeth.
i got a new job 7 months ago, finally in my field, i'm the evening lead teacher at a extended hours daycare. i love it. DH works nights as security, so we don't really see each other much, just in passing or sleepin. but the kids are not in care, and that saves money.
I haven't been on the forum for a month or so. I'm still due at the end of March, and I've been feeling baby regularly for a couple months now.
Dh worked for 8 months as a campaign manager for a state assembly candidate. We lost. Back to the job search. We might move out of state to someplace with lower unemployment (not hard when you live in CA!). I've been joking with dh that we moved when I was at the end of the 2nd tri with both our boys, so we're required to move for this one, too.![]()
We were going to have a gender scan on the 20th, but with dh not being employed, we cancelled it to save the money.
Ezra (4 in January) and I started doing preschool at home in April. We're going to be homeschooling, so there's not much point in sending him anywhere now. It's gone pretty well, and he's learning how to sound out words. The only problem is that he gives me goofball answers when he knows the material and is bored. The problem with that is that he doesn't always demonstrate that he knows the material FIRST.
Gideon (2 in January) is talking up a storm and getting into everything.
Both of them are starting to help me in the kitchen, and Ezra likes to help me with cleaning.

I pop in from time to time but life has gotten out of control busy! I am glad to hear that all our snow peas are doing well and if needed getting the extra help that they need.
Preston is doing great. He's totally potty trained during the day and attending a great daycare 5 days a week as I am working full time. For a while I was thinking he was colour blind as no matter how much the daycare or myself worked with him he couldn't grasp colours. He's starting to point colours out to me know which is a relief. He's a big boy and solidly into size 5. He's actually getting his first 5 - 6 yr old molar. He always has been ahead of the game with teeth.
Hi ladies! I haven't been on here in an eternity but just decided to randomly check the board. Janelle, I'm sorry to hear about the struggles you've faced w/Daniel. Sounds like you're doing an amazing job of being his mom though.Sandra, ack!! I had no idea! Congrats!! Enjoyed reading the updates from all of you.
Piper is one funny lady. She is so so SO full of energy all. the. time. and while that is par for the course of being an almost 4 year old, it is utterly exhausting for me.She goes to preschool 2.5 days a week and really enjoys it. Piper is super precocious and will chat up just about anyone who comes across our path. She really enjoys her ballet class and is constantly prancing and dancing around in dramatic fashion. She learned to write her name this fall (only in caps... we're gonna have to work on lower case) and likes to write it on just about everything she can.
Jack is 7 months old now and so sweet I can hardly stand it! He's an amazing sleeper and for that I am incredibly grateful. He's our Mr. Chubby Smiley Baby most of the time and now that he's mastered sitting on his own, my life just got a little bit easier!
Our big family news is that we just moved last week to the suburbs from downtown. This is a huge change for us, but a wonderful and much-needed one. I LOVE our new house and it's been exciting (and exhausting) getting settled. Guess that's the update for now. Take care!!
Savanna is doing great! She has preschool 2 days a week and she just loves it! She has learned so much in such a short time! She is potty trained during the day still struggling at night. She is such a deep sleeper so I think that's why she doesn't wake up when she has to pee, some nights she will be dry others she is super wet. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and just can't handle waking up in the middle of the night to change sheets (because then I can't get back to sleep) so for now she is still in diapers at night. She still takes a 1-2 hour nap during the day which is great for me to get some rest lol. She is a little stinker and just so funny! She is so excited for her baby sister to get here!
I am due Jan 9 and we are having a terrible time with names, so we call her baby sister for nowI have several names I love (Devyn, Avery, Ava, Eva, and about a zillion others, DH says no to EVERYTHING I suggest, yet HE doesn't have any suggestions GRRRR)
