Hi everyone. My DD has had allergies since she was an infant. She's had tons of sinus infections, and has always sounded like she has congestion in her nose and throat. She's been on so many antibiotics and it cannot be good for her. Does anyone have any natural sinus and allergy remedy that's safe for two year olds? I would greatly appreciate it!
well I myself suffer from allergies and before I was preggo with dd, i was on a steroid nasal spray...well while pregnant I couldn't be on that, so I had to find some sort of natural help. I honestly don't know if this will work for a child, or if it's just me that it works for, but it's all natural, so I would assume it would be okay to use on your dd (but i would def ask your doctor), if she will let you LOL. I use a saline nasal moisturizing spray and if my allergies are really bad I will also take some benadryl, and that helps too. The saline spray works BETTER than the steroid sprays i was using before. good luck

i think saline is fine for kids 6 months and up, our Dr reccomended it for DD when she was sick and nursing and couldnt breathe enough to nurse! spray, let it loosen up the gunk, and then suck it out with a bulb syringe thingy. Ellie STILL lets me do it, even asks for it if she's really stuffy. not a huge fan of the spray, but she tolerates it.
Yeah, DD won't let me bulb syringe her nose. She's really picky. Has anyone used the nasopure method with their child? It's supposedly safe for ages 2 and up. It's like the Nettipot but you don't have to tilt your head. We also have nasonex for dd's nose, but she won't let me do it.
nasonex burns. at least it did me. the netipot sounding thing might be a good idea. we dont like the saline sprays but i already have a nebulizer and the dr gave us straight saline to put in it and give to izzy when shes stuffed up. izzy is on zyrtec alot.
