Ay up! I'm Sarah and this is my fantabulous space!

I'm 27 years old and i live with my husband Scott who is 31. We have been together for 11 years and married since February 2007.



We have two children in heaven. Zane and Ada.

Zane was concieved after trying for 7 months and born at 41 weeks by c-section. We lost him after he fought the effects of blood loss, caused by undiagnosed Vasa Praevia. www.vasapraevia.co.uk.

Ada was concieved 6 months after we lost Zane and her name means 'happy'. She passed away at 25 weeks and the reasons remain unknown. She was stillborn by c-section.

Please forgive how haggard i look in these photographs, but they are precious to me because i am holding my babies.



I got my BFP for this baby after we had been trying for 5 cycles. I am excited and nervous and happy and worried and thankful and wary and all sorts of crazy emotions. It is going to be a long nine months, if i make it that far, but i will be grateful every single second because those seconds may be the last with this child.

4th June - Had an early scan and we have a blob! Saw the heartbeat!
5th June - My booking in appointment went well. Nothing to report!
30th June - Appointment with the consultants registrar at the hospital. Discussed our history and plan for care in brief.
7th July - I went for a private scan to check for Vasa Praevia. Everything was great! Got the all clear for VP and am low risk for down syndrome. I have hope!!
12th July - My NHS dating scan gave me a new EDD of 14th January 2009. All is great. Baby had hiccups!!!
14th July - Consultant appointment at hospital went fine. Delivery expectation changed to 38 weeks.
25th July - Routine midwife appointment. Heard the heartbeat and nothing in urine. Nice and boring!
25th August - Private scan again to check for anomalies. Everything looks great!
1st Sept - Anomoly scan went well, but they said my placenta is low again. 1cm from cervix.
19th Sept - Routine appointment with the midwife. Everything okay.
29th September - Glucose tolerance test. Results are i'm borderline and need to be monitored.
30th Sept - Growth scan and consultants appointment. Great news - all clear for Vasa Praevia again and baby is doing great!!
2nd October - Diabetic clinic. Learned how to monitor my blood sugar and control it with diet.
9th October - Diabetic clinic. Checking up on my progress since last week. Everything is fine, levels are low. Continue same diet.
23rd October - Growth scan and diabetic clinic. All looks good. Baby weighs about 2lb 12oz. It's going to be a big 'un!
6th November - Standard midwife appointment. Bloods done.
13 November - Diabetic clinic. Nothing to report.
27 November - Growth scan and diabetic clinic. Baby is estimated at 5.3lbs! Everything looked good except fluid is on 5th centile. Rescan next week.
4 December - Scan to check on fluid levels. Fluid back up to a reasonable level. Everything fine!
11 December - Growth scan and diabetes appointment. Everything fine and c-section booked for 6th January! Baby weighs 6lb 8oz
18 December - Diabetes appointment and CTG. Everything okay. C-section rearranged for 2nd January!
23 December - CTG then diabetes appointment.
29 December - Blood draw at hospital
1 January - Consent forms at hospital
2 January - Delivery Day!!!!!!!

It's a GIRL!!
Introducing Tegan Noelle

I'm having a high-risk pregnancy due to high blood pressure and hypothyroid. I'm currently taking (in addition to prenatals) Methyldopa (for BP), Synthroid (for thyroid), and Prometrium (progesterone). This is my 6th pregnancy, and I've had 4 m/cs. Despite all of that, I'm very hopeful for this one!

1st Appointment (NP) - May 19th! BP 130/90
2nd Appointment (HR OB) - May 29th BP 120/79
1st u/s - May 29th Gestational sac, Yolk sac, and a Subchorionic Bleed
3rd Appointment (HR OB) - June 12th BP 120/74
2nd u/s - June 12th We have a heartbeat! 146 BPM
4th Appointment (HR OB) - June 30th BP Unknown, Had to switch BP Meds
5th Appointment (HR OB) - July 14th Everything's looking great!
3rd u/s - July 14th No more bleed!! Yay!
4th u/s - July 31st Unexpected, but we found out it's a girl!
6th Appointment (HR OB) - August 18th BP was "perfect".
7th Appointment (HR OB) - September 15th Great BP, and I'm officially 0 lb +/- !
5th u/s ***THE BIG ONE*** - September 15th Yay! She's still a girl!
8th Appointment (HR OB) - October 16th Good BP without meds! Weight gain: 1 lb total.
6th u/s -Growth Scan- October 17th She's long and skinny, but a very healthy 1 lb 13 oz!
9th Appointment (HR OB) - October 30th

Because of what happened with one of my losses, I took another test at 20 DPO. Turns out, I didn't need to worry! You could see the test was + before the pee even hit the control line!

12wk 3d scan Whew, so we're not having an amphibian!!


21wk 3d Half her face is covered by her arm.

Guess I should claim my space too ~ I'll update with pics later in the week.

I am Karen (35), DH is Ray (44) ~ we already have one son, Liam, who is 2 at the end of May. DH also has a daughter from a previous marriage, who is 16.

We had been TTC#2 for 15 months, before we finally got that BFP (we think our infertility was caused by meds that DH was on ~ he took a break from them for a month, and that was the month we got pg!).

We got our BFP on 5/8/08
EDD is 1/15/09

I am so excited to be reserving my space. This will be my 2nd and hubby's first. My daughter is 5 (with my ex-husband) We are both 35 and just got married on 4/5/2008. (It happened FAST!)

I will post some pics when I get home later. This is going to be fun!
