New daycare!

Well Savanna started with her new babysitter yesterday and she did AWESOME! Seriously this kid is such a good girl....I just know my next child won't be this easy lol but don't tell my dh that Smile Her babysitter (Darci) told me when I picked her up that she was only going to charge me the potty trained rate for her age which is $2.45/hour instead of $2.65/hour because her son, who is 2 weeks older than dd, started going on the potty yesterday just from watching Savanna! He has had no interest until yesterday. Yay Savanna, you are saving me 20 cents/hour lol. I took Savanna in her big girl underwear and she stayed dry all day  Yahoo she did put her in a pull up for naps, but she even stayed dry during her nap! This was one of my big problems with the last babysitter, I would take dd in a pull up and when i picked her up after work, my babysitter (who is also a friend) would tell me that she stayed dry ALL DAY but when i get her home, her pull up was soaked....so she wasn't checking that she was dry, she was ASSUMING that she was going on the potty all day without accidents grrrr. Anyway, I am much happier with my new babysitter and just had to share with you! Yahoo and when i dropped her off today she was SO excited to go play there, it is SO much easier to drop off a happy kid than a clingy one, who doesn't want to go. I dropped her off and could barely get a kiss out of her before she said bye bye i go play? lol I love that girl

oh yea and my babysitter also told me she couldn't believe how she went down for naps so easily. She does still have a binky for naps/bedtime, so as long as she has her bink, blankie and her water sippy, i can lay her down, say night night, leave the room and she is out for 2-3 hours Dirol she is very happy about that, especially since her own son won't go down for naps hardly at all, so it's nice for the break Biggrin

me too! I was a little worried because she had only met the babysitter once before, and also her kids once before (and that was just barely last week) but she is just an adjustable kid I guess! Another great thing is that she does it out of her home, which is only 2 houses away from mine (we have large lots, so its about a block away) so I'm hoping when it warms up a bit I can ride my bike down there to drop her off, then ride my bike to work to get some extra exercise in Smile I have lost a bit of weight recently, but want to lose at least 15 more pounds Yahoo

Makenna started a new sitter yesterday too!! She cried a bit when I dropped her off but apparently it didn't last long! When I picked her up she didn't want to leave. I already LOVE this sitter she writes everything down so I know what DD ate and how many diapers she used and how long she napped for.... yeah for great sitters!! It makes going to work everyday so much more enjoyable!!

Exactly Smile that's great that Makenna likes going to her new sitter too....that is weird that they went to new sitters on the same exact day! And that is great that she writes everything down for you!

Jackpot ladies! sounds like a great sitter! i wish i could find what i need- which would be a CHEAP babysitter between my house and work so i can walk the kids there- but i'll only be working part time from now on anyway, and DH is off weekends, and i work mostly weekends, so i don't really need a real babysitter. i have FREE sitters by the name of Nana, Auntie Jane (actually the mom of some friends DH grew up with, she can't wait for her kids to have kids, except that she can because they are pretty irrisponsible) and then my BIL's friend... who happens to be a girl.... who lives 2 blocks away. thats where the kids ar right now. its only Bubba's second day away from me! he came to work with me yesterday Smile

i'm working every weekday this week because the boss is on vaca- i wont work many weekdays until late june when business picks up.

anyway- the point of my rambling (besides that i'm bored) is that when some people watch the kids i dont know what they did all day! BIL's friend now tells me what DD ate and if she napped, because thats what i ask EVERY TIME, my mom tells me what happened all day and half the time posts pics of DD on FB while i'm at work... scrubbing the kitchen table with a scrub brush.... that she got off the bathroom floor.... LOL, and i know what Auntie Jane will do tomorrow with them, feed DD junk food all day and watch movies, but not give in to any tantrums at least.

and my mom is the only one who encourages DD in her PTing, nobody else wants to put effort into it, including DH. sometimes i wish i could pay someone to make sure that nutritious food is provided, adequate naps and outdoor playtime, and PTing.

i'll be glad when sunday comes and i'm home again all day!

Congrats to finding a new daycare that you like and Savanna likes to. Awesome that she helped with the lil boy going potty.
