Planning to start soon
We've started and are struggling
We've started and are having sucess
We've mastered it!
So who's planning on potty training this summer?
Who's already been through it with success and who's been trying for a while?
I've been inconsistently putting Daniel on the potty chair. I'm not entirely sure he's got full control over it as he barely wets a diaper or pull up as soon as it's on. EVERY time he sits on the potty chair he "dribbles" and I thought he was forcing as much out as possible, but I'm thinking he's just still peeing constantly and has no control over it (never holds it).
As soon as school is out for DS#1, I'm planning on doing the naked baby bottom routine and see what we get.

We've been potty training for awhile now and haven't had a poopy diaper in over 3 months.....pee on the other hand, she still has accidents all the time not really sure what to do about that. She actually does awesome at the babysitters (still has some accidents) then I get her home and she doesn't want to go on the potty. I will ask her all the time, she'll say no, then 2 minutes later have wet pants....and if I put her on the potty after she says no, she jumps right off. Every day is different, some days she wants to go potty and stays dry all day, other times she never wants to go potty and has accidents.

I can't vote, since there is no "haven't started and don't plan on it any time soon" option.
Eli is barely talking. No way I am going to attempt to potty train him. I had hopes to do it this summer, but I have a feeling he won't be ready for a long time.
I voted on "We've mastered it!" but we are between that and "we've started and are having success". Generally we can go an entire day without accidents, maybe having 1 or 2 accidents a week, Natalie is also ofen dry in the morning. She's never liked being in a wet or dirty diaper so I knew when we started potty training it would be easy, it also helps that her teacher and school is excellent with bathroom routines. This week Natalie started getting on the big potty (with her seat) on her own when she needed to go.

i put "started and having success" because "struggling" sounds so unpleasant and i'm not pushing the issue enough to feel like we arent making progress. Ellie tries every time i put her on the potty, but i'm not in a good enough routine or wathicn her signs enough to get her there all the time. I'd say she tries at least once a day to use the potty, some days will go 3-4 times on the potty, but still have several accidents on days that he's in undies for a little while. We are continuing to work on it a little bit while waiting for her to mature a little more and get better control and awarness of when she needs to go, and are putting more focus on sleeping in her own bed right now, with summer coming its just to hot to have all of us crammed and sweaty in one bed
Ellie actually prefers the big potty (no little seat) now that she has figured it out, but she's pretty big.
Like Sandra we havent started. I have a potty for him but has no interest in it. He doesnt say a lot still but is a little better since his surgery. He understands what the potty is for and everything but sits for like a second or would rather sit on the top of it. I'm not really worried about it because I'd rather have him talking more then worrying about not understanding that he needs to go to the bathroom.
Yeah, we are also suffering in language and communication, so it's not been really at the front of my mind. It makes it kind of hard when his word for TV is Pee (not sure where it came from). But lately he's been saying toilet, so I think his interest is starting to pick up a bit. As soon as the weather gets nicer here, we are going to work on it for about a week and see where we get. I think that big brother Jacob will be a huge asset to us as Daniel LOVES to do ANYTHING that Jacob is doing.

We're having decent success here. For about a week now, we've been wearing underwear (or just bare bottomed) all day, except for outings and naps. She's been doing awesome telling us when she has to pee and getting to the potty on time. We've had maybe 3 minor peepee incidents where she just peed a tiny bit, realized it, then ran to the potty and finished. Poop was proving to be a challenge though, with one NASTY poop in the underwear incident, but otherwise only pooping while wearing a diaper. However, this morning she announced, "I have to go poopy!!!" and we ran to the potty and she produced!! I was SO excited! We called all the grandparents and had a special popsicle treat to celebrate. So, it's definitely still a work in progress, but I'm very pleased with our success so far! Switching to the big girl bed is another story entirely, however....
