~Breastfeeding Support Thread~ 502-1000

Daphne usually goes one long stretch at night. Unfortunately it usually starts at 8pm and I have a hard time going to bed before 11. Other than that, she wakes every 3-4 hours and is up for the day around 7:30 or 8. During the day, she is up between 1-2 hours between naps. She was sleeping about 2 hours a nap, but moving her to her crib has disrupted that. She sleeps between 45 minutes to an hour each nap.

Liam is still every 2-3 hours, even when I top him off with formula at night. Sometimes during the day he'll go 3-3.5 hrs (of course in someone's arms ONLY however).

And by the way, I'm still on the fence about ordering that med! I mean, he is still getting about 50% formula during the day during the week and 100% when I get home and through the night.

He's getting 90% on the weekend, I may try to feed him formula and ebm if we're out and he's just cranky and wants to be on the boob for an hour.

I just HATE mixing that formula, it truly emotionally disturbs me I'm not making enough for him. I'm STILL consisently pumping the EXACT amounts.

I find it so odd that NOTHING is helping you produce more.... I have to give you alot of credit for sticking with it all b/c I know how frustrated you are with this all and I am sure alot of people who would just quit and give formula full time.... Just keep giving him as much mommy milk as you can - every drop you can provide is better for him...

You are doing such an amazing job! The fact that you have stuck it out after everything you and Liam have been there is awesome!
Did your Dr ever run the tests to see why you were not producing more? How did Liam's weight check go?

Did your Dr ever run the tests to see why you were not producing more? How did Liam's weight check go?

He was 8.6 so a lb he gained! Still in the 3rd percentile!
No, dr hasn't done anything...I called and asked about a script he says there isn't anything he can give me...
SO that's why I am really STILL considering ordering from that online pharm. the domper(whatever) to help with my supply. It's not used in the US...UGH!

I've been diagnosed with it. I could have sworn I asked you about that or maybe I thought about it and just didn't post it. I know you mentioned a while back that can have an effect on supply...

BFing is still a challenge for me, but it's slowly getting better. She still gets bottles 90% of the time, but I've been good about getting her on the boob at least once a day. She doesn't chew me anymore, but she gets cranky easily because of my quick let-down. She's just gotten to where she can keep up with a level 1 nipple...and my boobs are way faster than that!
