Hi Everyone! Sorry it's been so long with checking in. Things have been insane.

The main reason I'm not around as much is I got a teaching job! I work as kindergarten aide in my daughter's classroom 4 days a week. I administer all of the tests, do all of the art projects, take the kids to lunch, help during math and handwriting, and assist at gym time. I'm loving it.

The kindergarten teacher is 34 weeks pregnant so I will be the consistency in the classroom when she's gone. Usually when a sub is there, I end up doing a lot of the routine things with the kids as kindergartners are so particular about having things done "just right".

Daddy stays home with Josiah and the almost 3 year old. He does his work during nap times and in the evenings. It's working out well and giving me the break from this town that I need.

Things are continuing to go downhill at our congregation. They keep stressing that they're not sure they can pay us this year. They dropped our insurance to a lower plan. There are individuals in the congregation making this more difficult. We are desperately trying to get out of here, but there is barely any movement in our Synod. Sad We're being considered for 2 different churches this month- one near Des Moines and one near Indianapolis. But we've just barely been second choice for 3 others already so I'm trying to not get my hopes up. It's too crushing when something doesn't happen.

On the Josiah front.... he's a tall and REALLY skinny man. He needs 12 month pants for length, but we fold and pin them in half at the waist so they don't fall off. Josiah is a walking machine... he's been doing so since 11 months. Thought he might be a late walker with all his stomach problems, but he's smack dab in the middle of when my kids walked.

His stomach is doing mostly better. He spits more if he has exposure to certain foods, but even then it's normal kid spit up amounts. He's been okayed to go off formula and switch to almond milk. However, because almond milk isn't as fatty as whole milk, we have to give him an extra serving of meat or beans. Still avoiding gluten and dairy and sweet potatoes completely, and limiting the soy and eggs. He can tolerate little amounts of the last two.

Josiah has 6 teeth (4 on top- 2 of which popped through a couple days ago). He got his first tooth in December so he's been a teething machine.

Over Christmas break we all got the stomach flu. DH and I got the resp flu too and ended up in the ER. Josiah came through it like a trooper. I think he's going to be a rare to be sick and then heals quick kid like my oldest DD is. On the way home from my parents (we got sick there), our younger DD got delusional so we had another stop at the ER. (Thank GOD she remembered me. Otherwise, how bad would that have looked at a rest stop, where she pulled away from her daddy, yelled "You're not my daddy!" and then tried to get into another car?) It's amazing what the mind can do when it's that dehydrated.

Josiah is such a smiley and happy boy. He really is such a joyful addition to our family. He cuddles, he giggles, he flirts. Shoot, his speech is even getting amazing. Most of the time he only repeats things he hears, and doesn't do it on command, but when he does, it's clear as a bell. I was playing elf bowling and he was sitting on my lap and out of nowhere yells "Who's yer daddy?" after one of the elves did. I about fell off of my chair laughing.

In one last odd news- I'm being tested for menopause. Yes, 30 years old and I might be in menopause. There is something really wrong hormonally right now. My mom started menopause at 35 and I got my period 5 years before her. If it's not that, they're thinking thyroid and mineral deficiency. I dunno- it's all kind of surreal and funny to me.

We had Josiah's party yesterday. I'll try to get pics up soon. His 1 year check-up is on Thursday. I'll come back and post stats later.

Congrats Mandi on the bfp! It's been great catching up with what's going on with everyone else too!

Hey Michelle! Great to see you! Congrats on the job, that sounds like a great fit for you and perfect that DH can be home with the younger kids!
It sounds like Josiah is doing great and growing well. I'm glad to hear his stomach is doing well. That must be a big relief for you.
And sorry to hear about your health stuff, menopause at 30 is crazy! I hope they figure out something soon.
Good luck with the new placements for your church. It sounds like you have been really unhappy where you are for a long time. Keep praying. God will place you where He needs you in His time. I know that stinks, but remember He has a plan for you and your family. (((hugs))) I will pray that one of these churches is the one for you guys.

Dh says hes okay with adding another baby to the family.

However, I am not so sure i can handle anotherone right now. In 9-12 months maybe? This window of opportunity will only be open for the next 3-4 months i think. Stressing about a little.

Michelle~ I am so glad to see your update!! Yay Josiah! I hope they can figure out what's going on with you and get you leveled out. You must be feeling terrible. And I really hope something else comes along for DH, that has to be hard. I bet you job is doing a lot to help $ and stress, though.

Amanda~ If you're not ready, don't worry about it. When you are, you will know it. And I am sure, if DH changes his mind, you'll be able to sweet talk him.

Since Jan 16th i started an exercise routine and diet change. I'm frustrated because, to date, no change in weight. DH notices a change in my body. I dont see it or feel it in my clothes.

I had success with Atkins before getting knocked up with Jacob, so I broke out the book again and started induction. Its supposed to last 2 weeks and then you move onto the next phase gradually adding more carbs when you get close to your goal weight. I want/need to lose 35 lbs.

I am so mad i let myself to get to the "overweight" section on the BMI scale. *sigh* This going to be hard. I hope Atkins works for me again.

Sorry to be debbie downer. Guess I just had to vent.

That is rough when you don't see any progress, especially when you are working so hard at it Have you ever tried Weight Watchers? I ask because recently people at my work have done it and are losing a lot of weight! I am sorry you are feeling down Sad Just keep at it and I am sure you will see change soon! I hope Atkins works for you again. I LOVE Lindsay Brin's Postnatal Bootcamp dvd. I just did it the other day after not doing it for a while and I was SO sore for 2 days. Every muscle in my body was hurting! I am trying to make myself do it at least 3 times a week.
What are you doing for exercise? I am a runner and highly recommend it both for weight loss and stress-relief. If you don't run you could start with a C25k (couch to 5k) program. Anyway you can vent away!! These is nothing more frustrating than trying to lose weight!

I started running.

So far i can go 1 mile running and i walk the rest of 30 minutes. I squeeze in 4-5 one minute sprints as well. I can only do it 3 times a week (when DH is home from work). I have to do other forms of exercise the other days with the kids around.

So far I have noticed an increase in my speed and ability to do a little more with the exercise. I will check out the C25K thing. I have a friend who did this or something like it last year and is now running half marathons.

Sorry about the weight stand still Sad that's frustrating. I agree with Marcia, I *love* Lindsay Brin's dvds. I did the postnatal bootcamp after Josiah and I'm doing the trimester videos now in an attempt to not have it be a stuggle this time. I know it's been harder with each baby so I'm hoping keeping up with it while pregnant will help this time.
I have an ultrasound this Saturday!! I booked an appointment with an elective place, so hopefully we'll know baby's gender in 5 more days Biggrin

Lol this pregnancy has been dragging for me! I'm thinking it's because it's also winter, which drags. Summer always goes so fast so Josiah's pregnancy just flew by, not so much with this one. No strong feelings either way, one day I think boy, the next I think girl. I'd prefer another boy if I could choose just for convenience purposes. We'll need to move a lot sooner if this is another girl. I have no problem with this baby and Josiah room sharing no matter the gender at first but by 4/5 I'd want to seperate them and I think the age difference between my older girls and this one will be too much to put this one in their room. Plus it'd be nice for Josiah to have a brother, and I feel like a little girl might feel left out a little. My older two girls are close and I just don't see them being as close with a sister that is 5/7 years younger than they are. All that said, baby girl stuff is SO much cuter now than it was when I was having my first two Lol

I'm due mid-September Smile I don't really agree with the date the dr gave (21st, which is what my ticker is set to), I think it's closer to the 17th...but my midwife said we're reevaluate after my anatomy scan. I didn't schedule my anatomy scan until 21 weeks, so that isn't until May 11.
The gender scan was great though! It was short but we definitely have another little boy growing in there! Biggrin We got to peak at the 3D which was kind of neat even though they don't look much like they will at birth at this point. I'm very happy we did it.
Honestly this pregnancy is going by so slowly for me. I want to enjoy it since this is definitely our last baby but that's easier said than done Lol I just feel like I'm ready to meet this baby and move past pregnancy. And as I say that I'll also say dh has his vasectomy scheduled for next Tuesday which oddly enough is still making me a little sad even though I feel like we have a perfect little complete family. It's just so final! At the same time DH asked last night if I was open to any other kind of birth control and I told him no way, so I guess I have the chance to stop the vasecomy and go on some kind of brith control after this LO but I just don't want to.
So, that's about it from me for now, gotta go get the kids dinner

Yay congrats on your little boy! I was hopng for Josiah you'd have another boy!! They are going to best friends!

AFM: I have been feeling the M/s the last three days. Oretty tired during the day and the kids are relentless. Lol When Eli goes down for his nap, I "try" to lay on the couch and watch kids TV with the boys but they wont have it. Either they are hungry/thirsty/bored/dont want to watch TV etc. Lol Oh well. This tiredness will probably pass in the next oh...........2 months.

I was hoping he'd get a brother too so I'm pretty excited. However, I was preparing myself for another girl...and I think I got a little attached to the idea because girl clothes/diapers/stuff is SO cute now compared to when I had my girls Lol So I'm a teeny, tiny bit disappointed that I don't get to get girl stuff and use the girl name that I really love, but I am so happy that I'll have two girls and two boys now. My girls are about 20-21 months apart and now my boys will be too, couldn't have planned it myself any better than that! Plus we wouldn't have had any room for another baby girl, I would have been pushing dh to move in the next year or so and now Josiah and this baby can share a room, I even have their bunk bed already picked out Lol No names though, boy names are tough for us. Josiah's name was decided last minute (after he was born), and I think it'll be the same this time. DH likes Isaiah, but I am just not sure and I don't really want their names to be *that* similar. I like Lucas, which I also liked when I was pregnant with Josiah but dh didn't so much. DH likes Elijah, I'm just not in love with it and again you run into the whole rhyming thing. And it's very different from what I normally like but I do really like Deacon. My mom is pushing for Thomas (her dad's name) and my MIL is pushing for Ezra. Lol And that's about where we are for names, I feel like it's an impossible feat...and that is without even thinking about middle names
Anyways Lol I hope your ms and exhaustion subside pretty soon. I am definitely not a fan of the first trimester.

Oh and dh no longer has his vasectomy next week, he says he's just putting it off and that the dr now wants him to do a consult (why would've they scheduled it without being sure before?) and then next month the vasectomy.

A little. I didnt puke too much. Just a few times with each one. Not sure if i even did with Eli this last time. I dont remember that happening.

i agree 20 months is a good age difference. I also like 15 months. Jacob and Ethan are 15 months and Ethan and Eli are almost 21 months, this one will be 20-21 months younger than Eli.

I am not sure how we are going to arrange all of our kids yet. We will probably be moving Jesse out of his room into the guest room and move Eli into Jesse room witht he baby in the nursery. Then when the baby is old enough to share a room with Eli, we will turn the nursery into the guest room. That is all okay if this baby is another boy. If its a girl I think we may be moving when she about 6-7 yrs old. Getting a house with a fairly large room for Jacob, Ethan, and Eli to share and she would get her own room. By then Jesse would be all moved out and grown up with kids possibly(eek i could be a grandma in the somewhat near future!)

I really want to get Noah a bubble lawn mower. saw them at the store the other day... I bought him a few bottles of bubbles and a bubble wand which totally grabs his attention for quite a while. We took them outside yesterday and he was running all over the place trying to catch bubbles!
Noah has had candy before Easter (thank you, Aunt Barb!) he really doesn't like it all that much. (well, the Reese's pb eggs...) If I gave him a choice of candy or a banana, I think he'd choose the banana... Thank God because I'm a chocoholic!
