We are doing good! Emily still has her days and nights confused but it is getting better. She went through a growth spurt the past 2 days and has been eating like crazy, every 1.5 hours usually. We had a great Christmas with the family and now things are starting to settle down. The adjustment from 1 to 2 hasn't been bad since DH is home with me all the time to help take care of Nicholas and Emily. I have to make a conscious effort to spend alone time with Nick each day so he doesn't feel left out. We have a weight check tomorrow for Emily to see if she is gaining. I am sure she is with the amount of dirty diapers she has. Although she still isn't pooping with every feed she does get a good 3-4 poop diapers in per day so hopefully that is just normal for her. Here is a pic of Emily on Christmas morning:

We got home yesterday. Miss Lois is nursing well, but not sleeping so well! She hates her bassinet, but I suspect (and hope) that will change as she adjusts. She is a cuddly little baby, and just loves to be held. I still can't believe she's here...and on Christmas!

Here is a pic....she has so much hair!

I'm hoping to write up her birth story soon!

Jonah is doing very well too. He's feeding a lot, and is a little poo machine. Like, projectile poo when we least expect it. He's a pretty easy baby so far, even more so since I learned Dr. Karp's "Five S's"--swaddle, stomach, swing, Shhh and suck. He's out like a light immediately and easily put to bed. We're on nighttime shifts as well, so we're not losing as much sleep as one might expect. But that's the luxury of me being unemployed and my husband having a very flexible job; we can afford to trade off "Jonah Watch."

Here is a recent picture. Please ignore the poor colour quality; our iPhone has trouble in certain lights:

We are doing well. I had quite a bit of pain this time around after the section- maybe I just didn't remember the pain. They told me that there may be more pain because of the tubal and the scar tissue they had to get through. Things are much better as of the last two days.
Sophia had her days and nights a bit mixed up- but the last two nights have been much better and getting a little bit more sleep. She lost her 10% when we left the hospital - her birth weight was 7lb and down to 6lbs 4 oz when we left. The nurse came to visit 2 days after we were sent home and she gained 4 oz!! The nurse stopped by again today- she now is 7lbs 1oz. So no worries that she isn't getting enough milk lol We are all enjoying her so much- dd and ds have been timing holding time Smile We all can't get enough of her- she is a blessing to our family. I will get a birth story written up soon.
Here is a christmas pic- going to grandmas and the other picture is taken at the hospital. I was trying to add another pic but photobucket isn't lwtting me change sizes.

We are doing well. It's hard to believe it has already been two weeks since Phineas entered the outside world. He has become quite a hungry boy though he is not at his original birth weight yet, he is making small gains everyday. He is in newborn clothes though he seems to swim in the newborn sleepers. DH and I have been trading shifts during the night with DH giving him a bottle of breastmilk around 2am so that I can get a longer stretch of sleep and then DH gets to sleep in rest of morning while Phineas and I have son and mom time. DH has been off from work the past two weeks on vacation and he will be off on paternity leave until February so I feel very fortunate to have a second person around to help with diaper changes, soothing Phineas when he cries, occasional feedings, and stuff around the house. Health-wise I'm feeling much better - my blood pressure has returned to pre-pregnancy levels (I was hypotensive most of my pregnancy until the high reading that led to my emergent hospital admittance), and my liver enzymes and blood levels continue to normalize. I'm still on a low dose blood pressure medicine but will be tapering that down gradually over the next month. Here are a couple of pictures taken around Christmas.

We're doing great! I am so in love and this little guy is that perfect addition to our family.

He's nursing well, actually great, and I am really excited that we will be very successful BF relationship. He's nursing right now, too! His bili levels are looking great and he will have his last check tonight. His hair is nothing but blonde fuzz. It is incredibly soft. And his eyes are light but since he hasn't been able to open them all tge way I can't tell how light.

Oh, his cry is insane! He has this squeak that he does....just adorable!

I know, I totally need to put up some pics! I should be able to do that tomorrow. I'll be discharged tomorrow so that's exciting. I could have gone home today but I wanted the extra day to watch Nash's bili levels.

Shannon, sounds like our LOs are similar in size. Kara was 7.1 and when we left the hospital she was 6.6, she lost 9%. The nurses were worried and wanted us stay an extra day but our pedi knows me and my history with nursing ds so she let us leave. At h one week apt she was supposed to be at 6.10 and she was 6.13 so the dr was really happy.

Prover all Kara has been a great baby, the only downside is having her days and nights mixed up but that's so common I can't fault her for it. Deacon loves her to death and tells everyone she is his baby. He is constantly doing over her and calling her "my baby". I'm notable to post many pictures right now because I am mainly posting from my phone....I hate that.
