Amazon Mom

Have any of you tried Amazon Mom? Its similar to Amazon Prime in that you get free shipping. However, with this free account you also get big discounts on diapers, wipes, and other baby products.

We signed up several months ago and started having DS' diapers auto-shipped to our house. You can set up the auto-ship date for monthly, every 2, 3, 4, etc months. You get a 15% discount for having an account and a 15% discount for doing auto-ship.

DS' size 4 pampers normally run $41+ tax but with this account we were getting them for about $30 with no shipping and no tax. You can't beat it!

My DH has started to get NB diapers (we used several large boxes with DS) and size 1's. However, with us having more showers this time he has upped it to get us sizes 3 and 4 instead.

If I go with the playtex drop ins (bottles) again I will also sign up to get the liners auto-shipped - I hated going to the store for a bottle liner when I ran out.

Anyway - just wanted to share this info in case some of you haven't heard about it.

Forgot to mention that with the account you get free 2-day shipping - so your items are never too far away!

Man - they should pay me for all the people I have told about this. LOL

no joke! I already signed up. Don't think I'll be fighting to get that darn stroller box into the car this pregnancy. I'll make the delivery man do that. lol.

Oh we most definetly use this! It's even cheaper than using coupons at the store. We have 3 kids in pull ups (at night) and 1 in diapers full time. It saves us a ton!

We use it here too. Also every once and a while Amazon will have a coupon in the magazines at the Pediatricians office that will give you a certain $ amount or %age off of your order. So keep an eye out for those too. (I haven't been to the pedi's since Feb, but I did grab a few when I was there the last time.) The more we use Amazon, the more we love it Smile

Do you know how the costs compare to a place like, say Costco? The money saved on gas and my time just might be worth it anyway.

You will save - I use to buy mine at Sam's and they were just a little cheaper than the other stores. So this still saved me a good $8-$9/box.

I LOVE Amazon Mom. Especially since we buy Seventh Generation diapers (try to be somewhat green even though we use disposables). I just ordered a new shipment of 7th Gen pullups and Earth's Best wipes and they dropped the free 2 day shipping. It's free regular shipping now. You have to plan a little bit in advance but the 15% off is so worth it. Other than diapers and wipes I haven't found anything else that is a good deal, have you?

I was just checking in to this yesterday, and I noticed it said you only got the Amazon Prime benefits for a year (which I think is the free upgraded shipping, etc), has anyone had this over a year and seen a difference?

Just curious because I'd probably wait to sign up until I was just a few months away from the EDD.

As long as you spend $25 a month on baby products you will get an extra month on your "membership". So like us, we do the auto ship for diapers every month and that extends our benefits by a month every time they send them to us.

I currently have maxed out the 2-day shipping (ends in Oct for me, so sad). Even though I have this, I still did not get 2-day shipping on the subscribe and save for my recent order (this week). I still like Amazon Mom though!
