Due Date!

It's here! My due date is here! LOL

I knew I'd at least make it here, if not go over, so no surprise I'm still hanging in here. And as I've mentioned before, I actually feel pretty good, so who knows how long until I go into labor. I had my 40 week appt yesterday and I was still at 1 cm (since she first began checking at 38ish weeks) still very high and cervix is not very soft yet. My dr said that she will get an induction scheduled for the end of next week at 41+. That's the next time I go in unless I go into labor first. I am really hoping for this weekend though since next weekend will not give me much recovery time before I have my son's birthday party on the 30th, then 8 houseguests arriving on the 2nd for my ds1's baptism on the 4th.

So I've been taking my EPO caplets and dh and I are going to, eh...drink deeply from the well so to speak, in an attempt to ripen my cervix. I would go on a nice long walk, however we are buried in 8 inches of snow. We only get about 1 snowfall a year, IF THAT here in Seattle area, but we are getting pelted with a big one right now. School has been closed for the past 2 days. Maybe I'll have to get walking on the treadmill Smile

Wish me luck! LOL

I tried the EPM with my last and it didn't do anything. Seems actually dtd was the thing to make me dialate. I was at a 4 for 3 weeks! I ended up getting induced the day before my due date. GL, can't wait to see the baby! BTW - can't believe your ds#1 is already old enough to get baptized! Smile

Crazy weather, right? Not sure how much snow we have now. It was 6 inches when we checked on Sunday but haven't checked since the last couple of snowfalls. I shoveled our driveway last night (figured it was good post-baby exercise) knowing that we were going to get dumped on again today...oh well. I'm so glad we don't have to be out since DH & I are both on leave from work now though we are supposed to take Phin in for his one month wellness check tomorrow.

Good luck with your EPO and other activities...hope they work.

Are you out this way too? I just noticed the PNW in your side bar--pacific northwest I'm assuming! Yes the weather is CRAZY! I went and shoveled the back deck and stairs so I could get to the chickens to feed them and give them unfrozen water, and then I shoveled the front deck, stairs and walk so I could get to the mailbox. And it was another few inches deep! NUTSO!

LOL @ "other activities" ROFL Dh is enjoying those...
