I posted on December, too, so sorry if this is repetitive! It was definitely scary! I'm about 1 hour from the epicenter, and we were outside when it happened, on our porch. Apparently the WORST place to be, along an exterior wall. Next time, we'll go out into the yard! No damage here, although I read the National Cathedral in DC was damaged.

Glad you are okay. The scariest part seems to be the fact that none of the buildings are retrofired for quakes the way ours are.

We felt the quake in NC....about 4 hours from the epicenter! Totally crazy. I was at my desk at work and me and a few co-workers were just thinking it was construction or something. The lights in the office were swinging and I was thinking about standing in a doorway but then it stopped. First earthquake ever for me.

I just felt a small aftershock a few minutes ago...this had better be the last of it!

I live about 3 hours north of the Earthquake center and never felt a thing! Everyone else in our office building was evacuating the building and felt it pretty good. Must have something to do with me being in the corner of the building on the ground floor or oblivious..lol

I still can't believe we had an earthquake that big in VA! It freaked me out. Hope I never have to feel one again.
