FF VS CTP

Fertility Friend vs. Countdown To Pregnancy

I use both of these programs - although I have been using FF since like 2006

For some reason, and although the info is exactly the same FF says I'm 4DPO and CTP says I'm 3DPO --

FF calculates O date when the temp shifts down, and apparently CTP calculates O date on the first day of raised temp -- I thought that once your temp raised, O has already happened and it's confusing. Granted, it's only a difference of one day so it's not a big deal, but I'm wondering what your thoughts are.

I personally think I O'ed on CD17 or even CD18 due to CP and CM, but temps point to CD16 - I think my chart is making me drunk lol

Also, the %'s on the TWW symptoms of pregnant women are totally different.

So the main point of this post is to see what your thoughts are on these programs... Which do you prefer - general chit chat sort of thing Wink

I've never used the other one, but I really liked FF and felt like I always agreed with it on my O date based on my symptoms and OPKs. Although I read somewhere that with temping you can be off as much as 3 days, so it's possible that neither one of them are "wrong" - it's just not as exact of a science as we want it to be.

It only makes sense that the temperature rises after O happens.
