Free Baby Slings

I got this email and just thought I would pass on the info because it seemed like a good deal. If you go to https://www.sevenslings.com/index.php/cart and pick out a sling, put in the promo code Family2011, and all you have to pay is shipping and handling. I just got one for $15 (that includes "insurance" for if it doesn't fit.)

I wanted a sling with T but never got one, so this looked like a good deal to get one for this baby.

I got this back in March - before I was even pg, lol. But now I may try to sell it and get a moby instead. Dh is on my case about already having 2 baby carriers and now wanting another, lol.

I've never used one of their slings but they make a nursing cover that I just LOVE!!! I actually spilled bleach on it and now am beating myself up over it because it was a cute design now it's all spotty. I love the cover because it's so light weight and it has the harder piece around the neck so you can see your baby but it's not so wide that anyone can look down in and see you feeding the baby. But yeah, love their nursing covers, but I want to make my own Moby because I have a wrap like these and it's just too hard on my back because it pulls me in odd positions.

Heehee Jenn about buying it before you were even pregnant! I hope I like it - the only other carrier I have is like a baby Bjorn thing which I liked, but I thought that a sling might be better for a little tiny baby, and then also for helping keep an older baby on my hip once they start to get heavy.

I bought it to use with my toddler while we were on vacation in April. The first time I tried it he screamed and Dh said to leave him alone. LOL

LOL!!!! Oh well, at least if baby hates it, it will have only cost $15. I remember that T hated the baby Bjorn when he was really little - every time I tried to put him in it, he would freak out and scream and cry. But I was persistent, and eventually he gave in and let me use it, and then he started to like it. Maybe that trick will work with the new baby too.

I think what I don't like about these is that they are one size. I tried a peanut shell when I was preggo and I felt like I couldn't breathe (felt the same with the Moby). It's just too constricting for me.

Definitely getting a ring sling, though. I want a SnuggyBaby! They are sooooo pretty! And I tried a ring sling with DS#4 recently and he enjoyed it. I want one now so I can use it for him, he is super loving being carried right now.

Christina - These do come in different sizes. Although it sounds like you have found something that you love anyway, so you probably don't need one. Smile

Yeah, by one size I meant more not adjustable. I have a gf who loves these, though!

This looks just like the hotslings I looked at with my last baby. I ended up buying fabric and making a knockoff hotsling Smile I think I made it just a bit too big, but it worked fine. I would order another from here, just because for $15, its worth it to not have to buy material and sew it, but I don't like the prints that much! They have a limited selection. Sad

Yeah, agreed, not a ton of selection. I like the pink one, but I wanted it to be gender neutral, so I got the green one.
