Okay, so this is going to probably be a book!
So early Monday morning I wake up about 5:15 to nurse DD. As I'm nursing her, I start to get some crazy rectal pressure (sorry...TMI!). Not like I have to go to the bathroom, but like PAIN. I finish nursing her, put her back down, and go get back in bed. But I am in a lot of pain, so I tell DH I need to go to the bathroom. Once I sit down, I am have crazy, crazy pain. Like transition labor pain. At one point, I guess my blood pressure dropped, I got all weak and clammy. Then I did finally poop, but I wasn't really trying to. The pain didn't stop, though, so I got back in bed, thinking I was going to need to go to the ER. I really, really didn't want to though, b/c our ER here SUCKS. So, I hoped it would pass. It finally did after about 2 hours of more intense pain. The rest of the day, I didn't have any more pain, no bleeding, but I was tender. Then again this morning, I had some more pain while in the bathroom. So, I figured it would be a good idea to call my midwives' office and see if they could see me today. I actually had my first appt. scheduled for tomorrow, but thought that something could be wrong given all of the pain.
I finally get an appt. today and had to see the OB who works with them. No problem, that's the policy of something is wrong. So, this guy strolls in to the room, introduces himself, and the next thing he says is "Why do you think you're pregnant?" Ummm....ummm....what?!? I don't know that I even answered him I was so dumbfounded. This is baby #3, I am NINE weeks pregnant. Gee....maybe the positive tests, no period, and growth in my belly make me think that I'm pregnant?
So I tell him my story, and he says he'll do an exam. And, well, he confirmed it... "The uterus is pregnant," he tells me. Gee, thanks for letting me know! He said everything felt right, so basically there must be no problem. He supposed I was having colon spasms. Fine and good....but OMG....this is why I hate some doctors. He was such a jerk and generally made me feel stupid for coming in. And, dammit, I wanted an ultrasound. All that pain, I want some confirmation that things are ok....more than your hands up my girlie bits!
And, to top it off, I have to go back for my regular appt., because they couldn't fit that it. (Although the receptionists, who are actually great, said they could. I guess Mr. Dr. didn't want to take the time.) The office is an hour away, and I rescheduled for a time on Thursday that I actually can't make. So I need to re-reschedule. Grrrr...... So aggravating!
