How would you describe RLP?

I've had some sharper pains lately. Very narrowly localized--like a line. Mainly on the sides. At first it was only when I stood up, then when I sneezed (ow!) and now while I'm sitting.

Is this round ligament pain?

Sounds just like it to me. I get the same things and that is what my ob calls it.

I've never really understood round ligament pain... It seems with each pregnancy, I always get pains in my sides, about where my ovaries would be, kind of in a diagonal line downward, if that makes sense. I've seen RLP described as in your hip area, but I've never experienced it like that. (Assuming my pains are RLP!)

That's essentially the area I'm talking about--though sometimes it's lower down. Like right now it's in my groin, but it has certainly been higher, by the ovaries. It is definitely not in my hips.

Woo-hoo, baby be a-growin'!

I've had this same pain and lately I can just be driving around in my car and feel it. That's what chalked it up to was RLP. It's funny you mentioned it happening when you sneeze. I get it then too and its like, "Whoa, what did I just do to myself?!"

This post makes me feel better, I have been having a lot of these pains lately. When I sneeze or cough it's so painful. I don't remember this from my 1st, but my husband says I don't remember a lot from that pregnancy.

That's it....RLP can happen all over. It's just everything stretching out...and it hurts. I dread sneezing!

Anytime I get a jolt of pain its in my hoo-ha, yikes! and sometimes my side but mainly in the other area.

I was wondering what that was supposed to feel like and how soon it starts. I've been having pangs now and then especially on the sides down above hips and sometimes in my labia. I've noticed too the pain is worse when I sneeze or turn quickly in bed but sometimes it just comes on its own. I guess I have nothing to worry about from what everyone else is saying...whew.

With DS#4 I started experiencing RLP at about 8 weeks. I was concerned because everything I read made ne feel like it was too early but it was exactly as they described it.

I have felt twinges and pains but not nearly ad bad as I did with my last. But I agree, sounds like RLP to me. And I do think it's a bit different for everyone.

I started getting them earlier this time, and I dread sneezing too and I try to make the sneeze go away lol!
