Job Interview =] (OT)

I am so excited!! I was invited to interview for a job position but have been waiting to hear back for when she wanted to do the interview, and it's THURSDAY!!!! The job is in LA (currently I'm in Chicago, but moving back to LA next week, EEK!) so I have to interview via skype. So nervous!! This would be SO great for us...but I'm nervous about, if I do get the job, when to tell them I'm preggo. Ugh, downside. But yay!!!

Wow...such a tough choice! I would say don't tell.

What field is the job in? The job market out here is so tough. There are so many people out of work and it's pretty competitive in most fields.

ETA: Nevermind...saw what you do in the other post. Smile

Good luck with the interview!

I wouldn't mention the pregnancy yet, wait and see if you get an offer. Then you can stress about when to mention it. But even then, I wouldn't say something until you are ready.

Ooh how exciting! Fingers crossed that you have an awesome interview!
I wouldn't mention the pregnancy until you get the job and have started. Technically, companies aren't supposed to be discriminatory against pregnant women, but they totally are. Keep us posted on how the interview goes! Smile

Good luck on your interview! I would highly recommend NOT to tell them you are pregnant until you have the job and have worked a month or two. I hate to say it but I have been discriminated against while pregnant and I have seen it many places. Yes it is illegal, but protect yourself (and your family) first!

I was just going to say what everyone else said. Besides - lots of people don't tell anyone til 12 weeks (or the 2nd tri) so its not like you are expected to shout it out to everyone this soon.

Good luck - I hope you get the job!

As lots of people have already said, it's very easy for an employer to not offer a candidate a job if they know they are pregnant. I'd keep it on the DL for at least a few weeks after you've started the job.

Good luck!

Thanks guys!! Totally wasn't planning on telling them during the interview. I would just need to decide when to tell them IF I get the job....which hopefully is yes!
