Everything went great at this morning's NT scan. First off...let me just say, it's amazing how much things have advanced in just 4 years since the last time we did this. I had my choice...either watch on a huge plasma tv or these groovy personal glasses with the screen on them. I went all futuristic and wore the glasses.
Baby looks perfect. Measuring 12w4d...which is right on with my calculations, but 4 days older than my Dr's. Nuchal thickness is 1.2 mm which sounds great. Will have to wait for blood test results of course, but I'm encouraged by the low number.
Then....the Dr. asked if we wanted to know the sex....DH said, "well, we'd be out of luck if we didn't because it looks pretty clear". So, as far as you can tell this early...and boy did it look obvious, looks like Nathan is going to have a little brother! We're very excited...but a bit sad for my Mom who was really hoping for a daughter.
OH...and the placenta is on the right side...so that fits in line with that relationship between placental location and gender study.
We got a DVD (which I'm watching right now) and some photos. My next ultrasound is in 6 weeks.
Here are the photos of our little "Trackie"...That's the nickname Nathan picked out for the baby.
