off topic - I didn't know I was pregnant TV show

Obviously, we all know we are pregnant, but do you think if you didn't know (didn't POAS, or had not been trying, etc.) that you could have ended up on the show? I just saw the one where a woman with 5 kids didn't know she was pg with #6 (husband had had a V). For me, the fact that I am already making milk is a dead giveaway.

I don't think there is anyway in heck I wouldn't know. Maybe through the first tri but after that I would for sure know. There's no hiding my baby bump in my 95 pound frame. I honestly have a really hard time believing that show. But that's just me.

Some of those episodes are CRAZY! Like really they must be really really stupid Smile I actually know someone a close friend of mine she had her tubes cut and burned and about 5 months after she went to the er for pains like her appendix come to find she was pregnant almost 4.5 months! So I mean it could happen but some of those stories are crazy and some overweight women I can see but not really really skinny ones.

When they go into labor (and already have had 1+ kiddos) how can they not know what that is? I think they are not admitting it to themselves psychologically. That show is CRAZY, but when I start watching it I keep watching, it just pulls me in.

I think it's possible in some of the larger framed women, for sure. I get gas that feels like kicks all the time but if I had never had a kid I would just attribute that feeling to gas. Plus with number 1 I never got obviously huge. I actually kind of wish I would have been one of those that would find out around 10-12 weeks... would be nice to skip the first tri!

I agree with you Nicole, I think they are just in denial. How can you not feel them move???? There's no mistaking 3rd tri movement for anything! I mean, heck, I'm 11+ weeks and I can already feel a mass in my tummy if I pull my legs up to my belly or lay on my side forca while.

I did have a friend in college that had this happen to her. She was overweight to begin with and a very active drinker, sportsman, and was a waitress that did all the heavy lifting.

When we came back from Christmas break (or summer break, I can't remember) some of the other girls in class would ask her when she was due and she would get upset. She asked me 'do i look pg, why do they keep saying that?' Well I didn't think she looked pg, just much bigger. I felt so sorry for her. She would tell them she wasn't pg and they would say "um, yes you are". Anyway, I got a call from her one night that she was having lots of cramps that wouldn't go away so her dbf took her to the ER. When they got there the doctor said "I can see the head" and she said "WHAT?! A head???" She sincerely had no idea.

There were a few pg girls at her work and she did all the heavy lifting and carrying trays for them. She was in softball the entire time and a big drinker and party girl. I'm sure any sickness or pain she had she attributed to one of those things. As far as AF - I would think its safe to assume she probably had PCOS (lots of symptoms) so she wouldn't have had AF anyway.

So - that's the only way I could see not knowing. Maybe...lol

I would like to say that there would be NO WAY IN HELL I would NOT know I was pregnant. If I felt like this normally, I would be at the doctor trying to figure out what is wrong!!!

See Jenn, that's why I think it's a lot of denial. I mean, others could see it. Maybe denial is too strong, maybe she did have issues where she thought it wasn't possible but really, if tons of people are asking...don't you then start looking at yourself introspectively and start 'seeing' things?

I just dont get it. If people started asking me of I was preggo I would be taking a test to see.

Definitely - if it was ME - yeah, I would think I was dying or something and go to the doctor to be checked out. I don't feel anything at all close to normal.

Yeah, if I didn't think I was pregnant...I would DEFINITELY think I was seriously ill.
