I was using Sudafed when I got that a few weeks ago. It helped almost immediately.

I also use a neti pot (actually I use the squeeze bottle) every.single.day to try to prevent any type of build up or infection in there.

Funny you mention this, I'm dealing with a stupid summer cold right now. I've used sudafed, tylenol, sinus rinse, and for the sore throat I drink ginger, lemon, honey tea.

I gargle with warm salt water for my throat--amazingly effective!

Thanks for the replies. I will be doing some salt water tonight and hopefully look for some sudafed too.

I'm a bit confused about sudafed. It's on every OB's safe list, it seems (I never got a safe list, this is just what I've learned around the boards...). Yet safe fetus lists it as a category C drug.

I've wanted to take it on so many occasions, but safe fetus makes me nervous. Can anyone explain the contradiction?
