Taking charge of your fertility

Has anyone read this?
What did you think?

I love it! I think everyone should read it if they haven't. I read it last year when I TTC for a few months, but then I put TTC on hold so I put it back under the bed.

Last night I dug it out to go over things again.

If you have read it, or just know about it, I'm really interested in the part (pg 67 to be exact) about checking the lymph node as you approach ovulation.

It's supposed to be about pea sized and you can feel it with your index finger if you put your hand next to your.... areas... above your leg a little bit.. (on top of your ovaryish spot??) anyhoo, has anyone felt this??

Last night I laid in bed and THOUGHT I felt it, but then I felt the other side to compare (it's only on the side you ovulate from) and then for SURE thought it was onthe other side, like a little pea-ish type thing .. (kinda grossed me out a little b ut also was exciting)

Anyhoo, I thought it was interesting and was hoping I felt the right thing (i could only feel it on the left and not the right, so Im thinking it's the correct place) Ive tried to feel it a few other times but never found anything before..

Anyone try that??

It also explains how to check your cervix, but i just CANT figure that part out

yes, I read it before I got pregnant with my son--great book!

I haven't been able to actually feel my cervix correctly either

I just started checking my cervix this month. It is a little confusing and it is important to do it at the same time everyday. If you do it just to get a feel for it one cycle it isn't too bad. I still get medium and high confused but the hard and soft are easy to tell with me. Hard feels like the tip of your nose, soft feels like your lips.

I haven't read the book but from all the info I have gotten off the internet, I feel like I have a good handle on what my body is doing. That is really cool about the lymph node thing though!

K the lymph node thing is cool, I never checked those for signs of ovulation before! I can feel the lymph nodes on both sides, but the one on the left feels slightly larger than the one on the right.

Thanks for that tidbit!
