Update.. venting.. High Risk Doc / cerclage

RRrrrrr… The High Risk doctor’s office will not see me until I am further along (15 weeks).. I am going to them to see if I need a cerclage.

However my problem is that I lost my twins at 16 weeks so I do not like wait so close to that time. Although this is a single pregnancy and naturally conceived so maybe I will not even need one. However I am so scared I am thinking that maybe I may ask to get it regardless. I don’t know I am confused about it all. Today must be a day of much confusion Sad I just hate waiting so long when if they do need to do it the time frame is 12 weeks to 16 weeks. Sorry just venting

Maybe you are doing so good that your dr isn't in a rush. If you really feel nervous maybe he would do it just to make you feel better?!

I know it must be scary for you Roni.

You should just take it as easy as possible until you can get in to see him/her. And yes, I'm sure there is a difference b/t a single & twin pregnancy.

If you call the office & let them know your concern they should be able to answer any questions. You are paying them after all. Why not give it a shot?

Do they know that you're seeing them for the cerclage? If not, maybe you can inform them of this and get your appointment bumped up, or, if they do, presumably they are aware of the timing issue and are confident they're dealing with you in time. Presumably...

(I'd feel exactly like you though...)

I think everyone is making a great point. Call them again, make sure they know why you're coming in and ask them point blank about the timing and let them know your previous issue. Maybe you can ask to talk to a nurse or directly with a doctor rather than a receptionist.

I agree--call and see if they know the issues.

Well, boo! Do they have nurse there? Or can you call your OB office and just get your questions answered as to the date they see you?

I don't think they would push you off since it could be a liability/malpractice issue. But if your not satisfied with 'that's just when we see people' tell them your mommy gut needs mire answers. I do think you'll be fine to wait until 15 weeks but if you're feeling off about it, you do deserve to know why.

Can you ask your ob to refer you elsewhere?

Please try not to stress, but be persistent even if that means you don't make friends with the office ladies, nurses and doctors. A lot of time our tuition on these types of issues is very important. Call every day. Make them take you seriously. You lost 2 babies, and it seems no one is taking that into consideration, and IMO they should. (((((HUGS)))))

Be pushy. It's ok.

Thanks ladies for all the support Smile

This morning I called back to the fetal “high risk” Doctors office to check for an earlier date. The nurse was super nice and actually listen to my concerns so I am very grateful for her to just listen and not cut me off Smile

She said that they may be able to get me in a few days earlier if they open another U/S room. She will get back to me with in a hour to see if they can Smile

I also called my OB office because they had me going for my NT scan next week but my DH wouldn’t be able to make it.. Sad She was able to get me in for tomorrow morning Wink Yayyyyyy.. Super excited.. Just so happy to be able to see our lil wiggly one and even more happy that they will be able to measure my cervix sooner rather than later as I my still need the cerclage done Sad
