What's for Dinner?

I figured I would start a thread where people can post what they eat for dinner each night. It's always fun to think about food and maybe give us all a few ideas of something new and different Smile Post away!

Dinner tonight was chicken nuggets (for DH) and fish sticks (for me and Nicholas) with sweet potato french fries for DS and mixed veggies and noodles with butter and cheese for DH and I. It was pretty good and I actually made it myself.

We're having pulled pork sandwiches, Lima beans and corn.

I put the pork shoulder in the crock pot with onions and barbecue sauce for 10 hours. I am getting so hungry!

I was also think a good dessert idea for tonight:
Sautéed peaches with caramel sauce, gluten free granola and ice cream.
Dessert completely depends on if I even get hungry after dinner but I may make it for DH anyway!

I was too tired to cook today and lazy so we had pizza hut and green beans. Tomorrow I will cook like a good mommy!

See, my problem is that I feel so guilty if I don't cook. If I have a big order or something like that I don't but otherwise, I cook. Not to mention I tend to be picky about what/how I eat so its just easier to make a meal i will actually eat. Wink

I grilled steak tips (marinaded in teriyaki) and yukon gold potatoes and we had fresh peas with a bit of butter (DD and I shelled them ourselves). We had pickup #2 from our veggie CSA tonight so we'll have chard, spinach, watercress, more peas, and lots of lettuce this week.

I've got salsa chicken in the crockpot and I'm going to make taquitos with it and maybe tacos. It's been teasing me all day. I was going to make enchiladas but I don't have any sauce so no go.

We had leftovers lol, some had meatloaf others had homemade chicken tenders and the kiddos had mini raviolis. Im babysitting tonight so it was just easier to do that so there would be ni fighting over who got what.

Tonight DH and I are going out to eat for Father's day. We were thinking of Tucanos or Ruby River but DH decided he wanted to go shooting as well so we are going to eat at a Chinese Buffet and go shooting afterwards. We had a salad for lunch though. We got a Bountiful Basket today and it had leaf lettuce in it so we made a salad with tomatoes, grilled chicken, and cheese. I love Bountiful Baskets! Right now I have $50 worth of fresh produce, including, bananas, apples, pineapple, cantaloupe, black berries, plums, cabbage, leaf lettuce, tomatoes, sweet peppers, spinach, cucumbers, and celery. All for the price of $15. Smile Can't beat that price unless you plant your own garden!
