Cervical length 2.8cm. I don't think docs put you on bed rest unless it is below 2.5cm. It is a reminder to take it easy, though. And of course, all I want to do is shop and get ready for thanksgiving and christmas.
Our neighborhood has little strips of the woods interspersed with it. Yesterday we saw three deer. The neighborhood is not overrun with them and it is nice when we see them (it is the same three deer every time). It is hunting season up here, but you can't hunt them so close to the houses - and kids play in those woods. So... hopefully no one will get any crazy ideas.
I am so tired too. Anemic. Started taking some iron, but I am worried about the side effects from that. I have some bad heartburn this morning but that could just be regular pregnancy related.
-
Tiffany- Glad your cervical length wasn't too low. I would think 2.8 at this stage with twins is really good?! Take it easy though, keep those babies baking as long as possible.
Ouch, my cervix hurts! I'm not sure if baby changed positions, or if baby dropped, but since yesterday there has been this intense pressure on my cervix. I was feeling all my kicks up in my ribs, but now they are all to my cervix or bladder and my hips/pelvis is aching.
-
Holly - A houseful of kittens can be awesome and stressful. I hope you're able to find them great homes easily when they're ready. :)
Tiffany - I hope you can get some energy back soon and I agree with Amanda that your cervical length sounds great for being pregnant with twins! There's a lot of deer and hunting going on around us too. People are usually really responsible but I always have to wonder.
Amanda - My cervix has been killing me too! At first it was because he was footling breech. Since he flipped (yay!) over the weekend, it's just been pressure and pain. I know a lot of women have it but how annoying.
AFM - The family I was talking about that was going into l&d finally had their son last night. They went in for an induction yesterday (40+4 they didn't want her going to 41 as she was high risk for some medical stuff she has non pregnancy related) and ended up with a c/s after about 8 or 10 hours. It wasn't an emergency but his head was stuck. All seems to have gone really well from what they've told me. I'm hoping to visit after my NST today. I also have to call the billing office for my provider/the hospital to get the receptionist from the office off my case. She badgers me every time and it's insane. I make payments all the time and even after I talked to the business office last week she still nags so I'm going to just set up small payments and file a complaint about her. She was quoting things I owed that I haven't even seen bills for yet and the ones I have got aren't even due. I know it's part of her job but she's the only one who's ever brought it up and it erks me as I'm really responsible with money and pay things on time unless something major comes up. Phew, rant over. :)

Hey ladies!
I'm alive! Yay! I haven't had the internet :(
Today is my birthday too :) We haven't been doing much. I'm pretty sure baby girl has dropped too- it's like a bowling ball that's about to fall out every minute, blah. I have no motivation to do anything around the house. At ALL. I'm waiting on this nesting to hurry up and start!
How bout everyone else?

Hi Taylor and Happy Birthday! I hope you're able to relax a little and enjoy it. Sorry to hear about your internet not being up. Glad to know all is okay though despite her dropping and the discomfort that brings. I don't think anyone has much motivation to get things done these days.
My appointments today went better then I expected as I've mentioned in a couple other threads. Expecting some panicked phone calls from family when they read my update e-mail (it's easier then calling them all) but really all is good. It's nice to have a plan. I'm hoping to take advantage of the "warmer" weather over the next two days and not having anywhere to go. I figure we can play in the yard a lot and hopefully I can get some cleaning done. As exhausted as I've been my nesting urges get really strong these days. I want to start planning/prepping ingredients for freezer meals too.
-
Taylor-- :happybday: Sounds like you are having a nice relaxing day!
Mia--Glad your appointments went well.
AFM, the nesting has started--I want my house clean...all.the.time. I am to the point of wanting all of the clothes washed and put away...and I'm thinking about putting up the pack 'n play...but not quite. I finally got the blanket done and I am almost finished with the carseat cover/canopy. Then I need to clean the car seat and I think we are pretty well ready.
I am so exhausted today! I took a nap yesterday--1 1/2-2 hours...then I couldn't sleep last night. I was up reading a book until 1:30...then I got up around 6:45 this morning. I didn't get my 30 min nap today, and I am so tired...oh well!
-
Lisa - Awesome about the blanket! I know what you mean about naps. As refreshing as they can be at first, I hate how they (usually) mess with my overall sleep schedule.
-
Taylorrrr happy birthdayyyy hun!!! Dh is painting the room as we speak because im ready to start getting his side of the room together and get this stuff out of the livingroom !
-
Mia--I got to go to bed at 9 last night and I slept all night long...until 6:37 when I've been waking up the past few days to use the bathroom...and then the kids are up for school.
Tasha, Did your room get painted? Good luck getting everything ready!
I finished the carseat cover this morning...I just need to add some velcro to the sides, but that will only take a minute to do. It turned out cute, but I didn't get to use the trim I wanted because it is on back-order for 8 weeks...I can't wait that long! Dang! Maybe I will put it over the trim I DO have on it after it comes back in...we'll see how ambitious I feel later. ;) DH brought the baby clothes upstairs for me today...I will start washing them at the end of the week. I just need to find my nursing cover--I have NO idea where it is.
I am starting the countdown...only 7 weeks to go...hopefully 5! ;)
-
Lisa - I'd love to see pictures of the carseat cover if you're up to sharing! My SIL redid her son's carseat for their daughter and it came out so cute!
Yesterday was a nice day for us. We stayed home and while I did a ton of nesting (regretted it later with all the contractions I had but they didn't become patterned thankfully) and DD was in a great mood despite having two of her 2 year molars pushing. I woke up a ton last night and DD got up at 4:30 wanting to get up but thankfully I got her back to sleep and she stayed down until 7:30. I made myself stay in bed this morning as it helped me so much yesterday. I woke up at 2 am with the most horrible leg cramps (In both legs) I've ever felt. My left leg was taking forever to relax so of course I started to get nervous until it got better. I am SO thrilled for the long weekend. We spend so little time with DH that we don't get to enjoy things as much as we'd like without extra time off. I am hoping I'll have less contractions today. I keep telling my body he can't come yet. He needs to bake for another 3 weeks! I am praying he'll get into a better position (he's posterior my poor back!) for birth.
ETA: Anyone else having pelvic pain way down as if it should be in your lady parts but it's in the bone? It's been happening to me for a week or so and it's not constant but most of the time. I don't remember it with DD but it's such a strange feeling. It almost feels like the bone is bruised but I'm sure it's not.
