Amanda, I hope you can get DD on a sleep schedule before the new baby comes! That sounds so tiring just reading about it.
Mia, I'm glad you're okay now! That's scary. And crazy to know we'll all be back in those rooms. The holiday season goes by so fast regardless and as soon as it's done (and for you, before!), we'll have teeny little babies.
Mia, sorry that you had to spend some time in L&D. I, too, cannot believe that we're going to be back in those rooms sooner than we think! I keep looking at your ticker, and you're so close to 30 weeks! I can't wait to get there!
AFM, I'm so angy today. I had someone tell me that I need to go out and buy maternity clothes. Really? I have a few things, but I can still fit into some none maternity clothes, too. I hate buying clothes that I'm only going to wear for *literally* 13 more weeks. I would never have the nerve to say that to someone, and I'm just annoyed. I just smiled at her, but I really wanted to say something snarky to her! Some people!
Holly, I don't know if I would've been able to keep my mouth shut on that one. Beyond rude.
I'm buying a few things in about 2-3 weeks. Jason gets paid this week but it's our rent/electric check and he didn't get overtime so I have to wait for the next one. I'm okay buying some shirts because it takes me about 3-6 months to lose my baby weight. So I wear my maternity clothes for awhile, especially since it's in the winter.
I got denied unemployment. I was supposed to talk with a worker about the reasons of my termination (which were in no way legit but it was Chili's, so I'm sure their corporate found a way to enter it in the computer to equal a justified reason) but everytime I called her, it went straight to voicemail. I left four messages and she NEVER called me back. Then I check online today and I was denied. I applied back in August so it took them forever to decide this and now I'm screwed, all because of THEIR worker.
I'm glad someone else thinks it was rude too. I just couldn't believe it! I put a message out on a local group that swaps things for both maternity clothes and 0-3 m girl clothes. When Cameron was born, Todd told me I couldn't have anymore, so I got rid of everything we had from the girls. I'm okay if she wears yellow for her first month or so of life, but a few things would be nice. I'm just a cheap butt when it comes to spending money on certain things. I told my DH what she said when he came home, and it he said I could go shopping this weekend. I just dread spending the money on them when I know I could spend it on something else that will last longer. I'll see what I can find. Maybe a few cute things wouldn't hurt ;)
I'm sorry that you did not get your unemployment. That is not cool that you tried to contact them and they fell through on their side. Is there any way they can refile? *Hugs*
Ughhh Holly i would have asked her if she wanted to buy my clothes since she seemed so damn concerned ! Smh the nerve of people ! Well at least DH is will to take you shopping to get nice things just pick up a couple of shirts that you can still see yourself wearing after having Reagan Mae..
Taylor sooo sorry about the unemployment !! People can be such a**holes ! I feel thats its inconsiderate to fire a pregnant woman and when they do , they can be soooo heartless and not even grant you unemployment !! How long have you worked with the company ?
Holly I cannot believe someone said that to you! I'm waiting a little longer to buy more maternity stuff too. I just want to get some tops and maybe a pair of jeans as mine are big on me but I hate spending the money. I just want some things for the cooler weather as I have spring/summer mat stuff I've been layering with non maternity and I'll need some dressy stuff for the holidays.
Taylor that is total BS that you got the short end of things because someone on your old employers end didn't do their job. I would hope there is a way the unemployment rep/office can try to rework that for you. As unfortunate as it is, I can't imagine other employers haven't tried the same thing.
Maybe it's because the last couple of days were long and I spent a lot of time catching up on sleep but I am so itching to get out. I want to buy this LO some things and the intake paperwork for my observation the other night motivated me to work on my birth plan (I had DD's saved so I just copied and modified that). I am thinking of taking DD to the park to get some of her energy out if the weather stays nice.
Holly--Do you have a Ross where you live? You can find some decent maternity clothes there without having to spend a whole lot...but really, whose business is it what you wear? I think it's awesome that you can fit into non-maternity clothes still...I wish I could! ;)
Taylor--I'm sorry you didn't get your unemployment. Hopefully there will be a way to work around what happened.
Mia--I'm sorry you had to spend time in L&D! So glad you are doing better! I hope you are all rested up and that you are able to get out soon!
AFM DH was home yesterday, and it was so nice to just spend time with him. It feels like he has been gone a lot for the past month. He left this morning to go hunting with his dad...I'm just tired of hunting season already. Ugh!
Shaylee woke up at 1:30 this morning throwing up. I felt so bad for her--I think this is her first time. I had to change the bedding and give her a bath...and of course spend some time snuggling with her. She acted okay this morning, but she's so little still that she can't really tell me what's going on.
I am trying to feel motivated to do something today--like finish sanding the dresser and start painting it--we got the paint for it yesterday, but I just don't want to do anything. Could have something to do with losing 2 hours of sleep in the middle of the night...oh well!
Lisa - I'm sorry DD is so sick. it's hard when they're so little and they just can't communicate what's wrong yet. I hope she gets plenty of rest today so you can have a break. It's nice that you have the paint on hand for the dresser when you have the energy.
I decided not to go out today as much as I wanted to. I checked out bank account thinking we were totally fine as DH had a bit more in his check last week then normal and we're beyond broke because some stuff pulled late and we had some unexpected expenses. :( I don't let myself stress about it anymore, but we've had more hard months then not this year and we're just not used to that so it always makes us cringe. DD won't nap but hopefully she'll just go down easier tonight. She's done a total 180 and now gives me a hard time but goes right to sleep for DH. I guess it's a good thing I'm just not used to that at all.
Mia, sorry that you weren't able to get out of the house. I totally get the disappoint of looking at the checkbook and being bummed. It happens more than it should at our house. It's so disappointing!
I took my car in today because I just put new tires on it in May and they are now completely bald. I about killed myself driving there because it's been raining all stinking day, but I made it. Turns out my alignment is WAY off. I told the guy I couldn't do anything about it until tomorrow, and that I about killed myself driving there. They put a couple of used tires on for me until Saturday when I could get in and get new tires and an alignment. I hate fixing things on the car, but it makes me feel much safer when I know it's done. I've got a couple of other repairs, but they are nothing major. Just window issues!
Mia--I'm sorry you weren't able to get out...I despise the checkbook! It's so frustrating!
Holly--So glad you made it safely and that they put some diff tires on for you for now.
Shaylee acted better today. By the end of today she was grumpy, but I think because she was hungry. Poor little girl! She got in a good nap, though. I tried, rather unsuccessfully, to take a nap all day long. I think I got maybe 5 minutes the 1st try and maybe 5 the last try. Oh well! I ran out of time to try and had to go to parent/teacher conferences. The first one was close to on time and went well. The second one was an hour late, but went well also. I always worry about how my kids behave at school, but from what the teachers say (and they would know), they are great! Makes me a proud mama! We also stopped at the book fair and picked out some books for everyone before we went home. All-in-all a pretty good day. :)
