Lisa, glad conferences went well! We have conferences coming up and I always worry because we are having behavior issues with Addison. I think we've found the right diagnosis, but it's so hard. I had a really rough time last week after coming home from the doctor, but I think we're moving in the righ direction. She's had a much better week, so I'm thankful for that!
We have our first parent teacher conferences at the new school on Tuesday. Starting to look into child care options for after the babies are born.
I found a consignment store in town that will let me bring them Brandon's brand-name clothes for store credit to get baby girl clothes! Yay! I have SO much Carter's and Amy Coe and baby Gap in near-perfect condition, and it's ALL blue.
And my mom is buying our baby bed for Christmas! I picked out the Fisher Price Rock 'N Play but she likes the Nap Nanny. What do you ladies think?
Lisa - I have family members who are k-12 teachers and they always say the most well rounded kids are the ones who's parents are involved enough to attend parent teacher conferences/keep up on how their kids are doing.
Holly - I'm glad this week has been going better for DD. It has to be so hard not knowing where things are going at first, but it sounds like you're on the right path!
Tiffany - That's smart you're looking into your childcare options now, that seems like such a huge thing to check off the list for parents working outside the home.
Taylor - That sounds like an awesome consignment shop! It's great how in the first year most clothing is barely touched/worn out so it can really save some money. I'm not familiar with the baby beds but I always just research like crazy (mostly reviews) and go with my preference.
My dentist got me in today and the culprit of my pain was a cracked wisdom tooth. The others looked fine and passed the exam of just being sensitive and nothing was infected so it was a good visit overall. I am going to have my CBC retested Monday at my next MW appointment as it was elevated the other week. I'm not really worried, but I'm also going to have them test for fungal meningitis as the progesterone injections I was receiving up until a couple of weeks ago were compounded in a lab that's under federal investigation. I've had some symptoms, but just things that could be other pregnancy stuff (nausea, headaches, redness at the injection site) but it will be good to check it off the list anyway. Tomorrow is a family birthday party so it will be fun to get out of the house and eat tons of food despite DH having to work all day.
Holly--I'm glad things are looking up for your DD. It sounds like you are headed in the right direction.
Tiffany--I agree with Mia, so smart to start looking into childcare options now.
Taylor--Sounds like you found a great place! Have fun shopping!
Mia--I'm glad you were able to get into the dentist and find out what is going on. What did he do about your cracked tooth? Good luck with your testing next week and KUP. Have fun at your party tomorrow!
AFM Shaylee is better today, but DD 1 ad 2 are sick today. We've been trying to get the house cleaned today, laundry done and applesauce canned. 2 out of 3 are just about done. If I can get most of it done today, then tomorrow should be nice and low-key! That would be SO NICE!
Lisa, I am trying so hard to get up and clean. At least do the dishes and vacuum. I promised DS Yo Gabba Gabba at 6 because I have to use Netflix and hook the computer to the TV, which means I can't sit around.
But this baby is putting SO much pressure on my belly lately. I feel like a balloon that's about to pop and it's so damn uncomfortable right now. I wish she would move and stop it!
Taylor--I have my kids home from school today, so I thought I'd take advantage and clean...I guess I am kinda mean cuz I made the sickies help by wiping down a bathroom. But I've been going ALL.DAY.LONG! And now I can hardly walk. Ugh!
I just finished the 1st coat of paint on the dresser. I hope it dries darker than it looks...whatever the case, I think it will be cute when I am finished. I will def have to post a picture when I am done.
So, I am already full term size... talk about uncomfortable.
Mia, that is super scary about worrying about fungal meningitis symptoms. The symptoms are pretty vague...
The truth is before this I appreciated compounding pharmacies because I figured if big pharma was the one making those drugs, they would cost a lot more. What I didn't think about was how the disregulation could put patients in harms way.
Taylor - I know what you mean about the discomfort. DS finally flipped back to head down and it's so much better then breech, but any time i do a lot I feel like hell. I hope she moves for you soon.
Lisa - How awesome for being so productive! I can't wait to see the dresser. I know that sort of stuff isn't as hard to do as it seems, but I have never really done that sort of thing so it always amazes me. DH can do that stuff easily as he has been doing building/construction/iron work forever. My dentist just filled the slight cavity I had and that also sealed up the cracked area in my tooth. It was pretty sore last night but it's doing better today so hopefully the other two teeth that are just giving me sensitivity pain will stay as they are until after this LO arrives. I have an appointment for those to be fixed in late January.
Tiffany - I am always in awe of pregnancies with multiples. Just thinking about the discomforts with ONE makes me think how insane it must be with two or more in there. I agree it is scary how the symptoms are vague for the MF but my not having a fever or losing it mentally makes me feel a bit better. A mayor in a southern town has it (from the steroid injections that started the whole investigation) and he had almost instantaneous shooting pains so that also makes me hopeful. I'm just glad that my office is good about ruling things out.
Mia, do the teeth with sensitivity have ANY cracks in them? If they do, just go buy temporary denture filler and put it in the cracks to block air flow when they hurt the most. It's air that's making them hurt if that's the problem.
My mom is giving me a gift card to Old Navy for my birthday. Only their prices right now SUCK! I don't want to pay $13 for a tank top that is only $8 non-maternity and $17 for a basic, plain long sleeved shirt!
It's ridiculous. And irritating because I'm assuming she's sending me $100, like she usually does. And for that amount, I can only seem to get 5 shirts in my cart. FIVE! And 2 of them are tank tops! That's just stupid!
