Back to Work

So, Monday has come much sooner than I anticipated, and I head back to work. I've got mixed feelings. I want to stay home and cuddle my baby girl, but I'm also ready to get into a "work" routine. I'm also ready to feel like I'm being productive. As much as I love cuddling with Reagan, I get nothing accomplished during the day. She likes to be held and the second she is put down she wakes up screaming. She's starting to do this at night too. It's going to be hard for me knowing that at daycare she may have to cry, but it will be good in a way too! Anyway, wish me luck! My first two days back are conferences, so I will be at work from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Eek!!

Is anyone else back to work yet?

So early to be back at work... Good luck with that new routine!
I'm off till Jan. 6th. In Canada we have one year off maternity leave.
But I will probly go back in Sept. since I'm a teacher and I would like to start the school year with my students, plus mat leave is way less money coming in then working!!
I'm still undecided as to when I will start but I'm thinking more of Sept....

((HUGS)) Holly and Patricia! I have started working a little bit, but only during naps or when DH is home as I do freelance writing from home. I've only done a little bit just to feel like I used my brain for something other then kid stuff for a little while. I hope the new routines go well for you both.

Vicky - I love Canada's maternity leave system, along with most other countries. It must be wonderful to have the time like that!

I am a SAHM this time around...with DD I was back to work when she was 7 weeks old. It was the hardest thing EVER! I live in a really small town though and was able to go nurse her on my lunch on most days so that helped immensely.

Good luck to all you workin' mamas, I know how hard it is!

Good luck to you Holly! (And everyone else who is back to work already) I feel so lucky to live where I do and have a year off. I can't imagine having to leave my LO this young.
