Been MIA. My daughter is here. Update on me

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is good. So I had my daughter on the 19th. And she's doing good. Here's my update:...so I was gettin NSTs since 36 weeks because she was measuring 33 weeks and weighing 4pounds and not changing. But for some reason they kept making me wait to be induced. Well Friday the 18th she measured 35 weeks and 5 pounds. I had been contracting since Thursday night so they decided to induce me. Went to L&D, about 11am, it was dumb crowded so I was in triage for about 3 hrs. Got in my room about 1pm ate and showered and they started cervidil at 2pm. Labored on that (it has to stay in for 12 hrs before they do anything else) was doing fine managing my contractions until about 1030pm when I realized I didn't get any sleep the night before and exhaustion hit me so I requested an epidural. That was a horrible experience it hurt so bad and still does today. Took out cervidil at 2am, was 3 cm but she stretched me to 5. Broke my water at 3 and I quickly jumped to 7. The docs stayed in my room because baby was at a +2 and they said when I hit 10 she was gonna come right out. STarted pushing at 4:00 pushed 5 times and she was born at 4:09am weighing 6pounds even.

So although she's my second this is my first time breastfeeding and man oh man it's a challenge.

I'm exhausted, a tad bit overwhelmed and starting to feel bad because my oldest Is starting to show jealousy signs. SIGhH

Breastfeeding is a huge challenge. I have to admit there are times when I wish I had just formula fed my babies, but it is so good for them and "they" say it gets easier. I am hoping that is true. Congrats!!!

Congrats on your little girl Tia! I'm sorry things were so stressful at the end but how wonderful that she was a good pound above their weight estimate. Juggling BFing and an older child can be really challenging. I hope things get easier for you soon. We are here if you ever need to vent or just want to bounce ideas off someone. The LLL and local LCs are also great resources for troubleshooting BFing issues. I love nursing my babies, but whenever issues arise I find it can become very emotional and overwhelming.

Thanks everyone. I'm still breastfeeding. Trying to maintain it. I'm getting sick now and that sucks
