Sorry to be posting this so late, I've just been busy enjoying my little baby girl! So here's the short version:
Showed up to l&d at 5:15 and stayed in triage waiting for a room until 9, even though I was on the schedule. Nurse there said I was 3cm, 75% effaced and -2 station. Went ahead and started pitocin at 9:30, got my epidural and broke my water at 10am. Then I took a nap. Checked me at noon and I was a 6cm and at 1:05 I was complete and started pushing. Emily Kate was born after about 15 minutes of pushing at 1:22.
Everything went just like I had hoped and was as easy and pain free as the whole thing possibly can be. I am so thankful and overwhelmed with happiness. In spite of my gd, she was 7lb 6oz and had no problems with her sugar so we will be going home tomorrow. I will update with pictures as soon as I can.
