Thread: Hands + baby mittens = stinky???

I hope you guys don't mind me posting here. I feel like such a party crasher, but my board is dead. :/

Soooo, anyone using baby mittens on their LO? I never had before but Philip has bad bad skin issues and I don't want him scratching his face. After a day of having his mittens on, his hands smell like dead fish!! Ewwww! I wash his hands but it takes awhile for that stench to go away. What's the deal?

Sounds like sweaty baby hands, maybe try rubbing a tiny bit of corn starch on them before the gloves go on? and letting them get some air from time to time.

I would def let his hands air out once in a while maybe try cotton mittens so that his hands can "breathe" and maybe sweatless...

I cover johns hands a lot as I am awful at getting his nails just right and he scratches his head a lot but I often have I use socks because I can't find his mittens. I do air them our during the day a lot. I hope the cornstarch works!

I let Philip's hands 'air out' last night, and this morning it looked like Freddy Cruger attacked him. LOL I'm just going to learn to love the stinky hands until his cradle cap/dry face is better. Heh heh.
