Default Having a hard time drinking

I am having a hard time drinking anything. I am not drinking soda anymore...I would prefer to only drink water, but it makes me sick most of the time. I am trying to drink ginger ale, gatorade and cranberry juice some to get liquids in. It is gotten so bad that I don't like my cups to be too full of liquid or the sight of it with stress me out. Anyone have anything weird going on thanks to being pregnant?

Also, I wanted to add that some stuff tastes sooo sweet. I used to like Arizona Green Tea, but all I taste is sugar in it. I ate a few sour patch kids last night for something sour and all I could taste is sugar, not the sour. So crazy

I am definitely having full-force nausea and aversions. I don't mind having a full glass, but I prefer something on iced with a straw. I know that mind sound crazy, but it is just easier for me to sip something now and then. I haven't noticed if things taste differently. I have not actually vomited though, I am just on the edge at all times. I really like ginger soda with a squeeze of lemon.

You ladies will be laughing at me, but this almost constant low-level nausea is weird to me, in that if I get hungry and don't eat right away - nausea. Yet, I'm scared to eat or even move b/c I'm afraid I'll feel even sicker and vomit (although I never have). I've been having to sip water. I used to be able to down 2 cups at a time...good luck with even one nowadays!

Also, insomnia. Can't sleep at night but oh so tired during the day!!!

Lots of ligament pain. Every time I sit up or get up is the worst. For a while, I thought it was ectopic until I was told you don't feel anything until 6 wks along, not at 2dp3dt (~5dpo). Clearly this is the prometrium talking.

I will get really thirsty if I have anything caffeinated. I normally drink a cup or two of coffee in the mornings but I can't handle it anymore. The creamer is all I can taste and it's too thick/sweet. I can drink water pretty quickly but I have to take it slow or I'll feel sick afterwards.

While I haven't vomited yet *knock on wood* I can't stand being around couscous or raw meat. I am craving a lot of fresh fruit and carbs like bagels.

Yeah, I have completely cut out caffeine on account of how impossible it is for us to get pregnant and the miscarriage risk. During my last pregnancy, I drank a cup a day but I remember it not being too appetizing... I was working 30 hour shifts then, though. And I know that some studies suggest up to 200mg is fine, but there

Sophia - I had bad ligament pain last week... made me worried about MC constantly, but that seems to be gone. Hope it fades fast for you too. Hope it passes like that for you, too. I wake up every couple of hours at night, but I am keeping some cereal at the bedside - I eat a little and go back to sleep.

Tiffany, I have cut out caffeine in drinks too. It is hard when I feel sick sometimes, but so far it has been almost 4 weeks since I have had anything. I miss it though!!

Mia - Same here about the fruit and bagels. I just had a bagel for breakfast. I am trying to avoid acidic fruits so that I don't get indegestion too bad. Grapes and strawberries have been working for me lately.

Sophia - I have been having sleeping issues too. I am so tired and usually asleep by 10pm. When I get up to pee, I have a hard time falling back asleep.

I had that same problem at that stage. I found it helped to slice up lemon, lime, or grapefruit and put it in my ice water. It helped me stay hydrated. Sugary anything was awful and plain water made me sick too. It's worth a shot!

Good luck ladies. Remember that m/s will start getting better gradually after the next few weeks (most likely).

Im so sorry ladies ! The only nausea i get is when i haven't eaten it gets bad ! I heard the best way to cure cramping and round ligament pain is to actually drink lots of water but when u have water i cant drink it too fast or else i feel like i have to bring it back up
