I just got home from my doctor's appointment, and I heard little peanut's heartbeat loud and clear at 173 beautiful bpm I'm so stinking excited! Overall, it was a great appointment! I am down one lb from the last appointment, so that's a plus side to all of the nauseus!
The only downer was that I got the write up for the bill. Ugh! The prices have gone up since the last time I delivered and I had a mini panic attack! It'll all work out, but I was a little shocked! Overall, I'm one happy mama today!
Sounds like an awesome appointment...other than the expenses! It is such a relief to hear that heartbeat--especially so early on, don't you think? Congrats!
I understand about the expenses. I am nervous to find out what the total cost is going to be (esp. since DH hardly gets any OT anymore.) But, like you said, it will all work out in the end!
Yeah for a heartbeat and good appointment!
It will all work out with the expenses....and you still have 6-7 months to get prepared for it! After I saw your post, it occurred to me that I haven't thought once about how much it will cost to actually deliver the baby. I feel like I'm "saving" money right now because I was spending so much money with IVF and all the other crazy stuff I tried while attempting to get pg. It was not a good feeling, and we even had insurance coverage.
When I had my daughter, I spent exactly $320. For the entire pregnancy, delivery, everything. Our insurance picked up the rest. It was crazy. Of course, we conceived her for free.
Kara, I'm hoping I can spread it out. My office likes you to start paying in your 4th month and they only give you three months to pay it. She noticed I had a panic attack yesterday and said if that wasn't going to work to talk to the billing department about spreading it out. I'm going to sit and really look at our finances. If it isn't doable, then I'll talk to them at my next appointment about spreading it out a bit more. I wish c/s weren't so darn expensive
